Woolford to Forest now apparently. Only seen him play once or twice but if you're as shrewd as BH and backed Forest for the league you've got to be quiet happy with strengething on deadline day.

@skybet_tim:
We're seeing most of the money for Fernando Torres not to leave and have reacted by cutting odds on him staying to 5/6.

@danroan Torres is not a done deal. Not yet. I promise.

I still think it's a matter of when, rather than if though.

Thankfully, H&G aren't still the owners - if they were, the £50M (or whatever it is) would vanish into their pockets and Carlton Cole would be our target.

@rorysmith_tel: Torres is still at Melwood, and has not left by helicopter, catamaran or Back to the Future-style hoverboard.

TBF getting Carroll for 30mill is not much better business than setting fire to the money. 30mill is simply ridic.

One for gatso:

Charlton have signed Federico Bessone on loan for the remainder of the season with the option to buy the player permanently in the summer.

yeah, waiting til the end of the day to see if I'm happy with that one. it's either superb because it allows us to move matt fry into central defence and drop one of the old boys or it's a disaster and we've signed him because west ham are recalling fry

He was a walking disaster. Cost us a few goals, got took off vs Barnsley and never played again.

£30 mil for Carroll and Newcastle say no??? WTF I dont know who is more stupid Liverpool for offering £30mil or NUFC for turning it down.

Spurs are trying to sign every striker in La Liga....goodluck you will still finish 5th.
