Why don't we contact business' around Nottingham like taxi firms and takeaways etc and get sponsorship and get tighty to wear a Tshirt with all the logos on around DTD??

Sky are fine with updates being sponsored from elsewhere. Prob is gukpt and stars do not need to pay for and will not pay for update costs. They blog themselves at their events. For dtd I would imagine them having to pay and other live providers not doing so rankles

Sky Poker may not be too keen on this idea.

Dtd two people 2 days is 650. Gukpt 2 people 4 days 1300 or so. Ratchet up and down according to location, length of event, numer of updaters etc

So if blonde are going to cover this

2 x DTD deepstack a month  £1300
1 x Gukpt a month               £1300

you are going to need   £2600 a month

No. There is no intention or plan to cover anything, anywhere, regularly. When there's enough in the kitty, the stakeholders (donators) will decide where & when the Update is. The Fund is NOT intended to reinstate scheduled regular Live Updates, just one-off jobbies when money permits. So we don't need any given monthly figure, if & when there's enough in the kitty, we'll do them ad-hoc.

They will have no objection to a blonde Member funded Update.

Fund Total  = £40 + £150 + £60 + £17 = £267.

Dylan PAID £40 to me in cash.

Dawn owes me £60.

£150 anon paid to Tighty.

Mondy paid me £17.*

I owe Tighty £40 + £60 + £17 = £117.

* The "odd" amount is because it's the loose change between Mondy & I on another financial transaction, & he PM'd me & said "bung in the odd £17".

Are you going to name the events you are raising money for?

I'm happy to donate, but not really bothered about the DtD events.

When you are raising money for a UKPT or UKIPT I'll cough up.

Yes, noted. I'll find a way to cross that bridge in the highly unikely event that we need to. The Sky deal is fairly relaxed as to what we can & can't do, though it's extremely important that we do everything we can to make it a success, or it will cease at the end of March.

When you are raising money for a UKPT or UKIPT I'll cough up.

The Donators can suggest whatever Event they wish, & ONLY those who donate get a Vote, which will be weighted. If adequate cash were received in time, & permissions granted from the Host Venue & 'Stars, we could cover the next UKIPT or UKPT.

So, if you wanted to say, "£10, but MUST be a UKIPT", I'd identify it accordingly.

I want to keep it as simple & hassle-free as poss.

At present, we have £267 towards an unspecified Update.

Ok, I will donate £100 for your next UKPT or GUKPT update.

Give me a shout when you decide which one it's going to be.

Hmmm - as usual you try and be the something everyone wants - I don't think that specifiying how a donation can be used would work - in fact it makes what is a simple idea of donating too complicayed and unworkable imo. You don't get to donate to Save the Children but say only take my donation if it's used for children in Africa for example. You trust the people you are donating to to make their own decision.

By giving the option of specifiying how a donation can be used is thread suicide imo. If you try and please everyones individual wishes it will be spread over so many choices it become unworkable. What if some numpty coes on and specifies I will donate £50 for updates at the XXX club in the Isle of Bute. It's nonsense.

I love the idea btw (my own opinion I have not been influenced in anyway) but donations should be made without restrictions.
