The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Up to 38k... Got 3-bet with 99, flop comes 922ss, check, bets 1600, quickly make it 3300, he quickly shoves and I snap. He has JKss drawing virtually dead.

Chinese Frankie is out

I asked the table what happened and received a series of raised eyebrows, grimaces and tut-tuts

Apparently he made a bad call on tilt from a series of events earlier

Thanks.

Good win for the Tigers in a bad tempered game with two sendings-off. I think I might celebrate with some vegetable stew.

First hand back after the break

Ian Hughes pushes his last 7,000 in from the big blind, a pot sized bet, first to act on

Alan Linford who is the UTG raiser thinks and thinks

A third player calls the clock on him.

Riled, visibly, Linford calls all in with a few seconds of his last minute to go

with

he has 13 outs, roughly a 4-1 shot on a pot laying him 2-1 against

river  , Hughes departs with a verbal volley of some magnificence

Linford begins justifying the call to the table....

gl with that

Was actually 12200 to call

The Simon Deadman exit created a new chip leader

Three players saw a   flop

Deadman checks, Robert Smith checks and Dean Pearson leads for 1,200

Deadman check raises to 3,600 with

Both call

Deadman has decided, he says, that he is up against a top pair type hand and a big draw type hand and will push a blank turn

the turn is the

He shoves 12,000

Smith calls

Pearson calls!

Now a 53,000 pot

Deadman has now "turned my marginal hand into a big bluff"

Smith has   for flopped top two

Pearson   for flopped nuts with redraw to the straight flush

Pearson scoops the lot, Smith is short-stacked and the aggressive Deadman is tucking into a sandwich in the bar trying to avoid an over-zealous blogger wanting to learn how to bluff.
