I am really struggling atm. Doesn't seem to matter what I do I lose. Maybe it's cos I'm shit. IDK. I know I should probably 3 bet this pre but we're quite deep and he's 4xed it utg. I really don't want to get into a huge flip this deep if he has AK. What do we do on this gross flop and now what to we do when I get mis raised? Should I be betting flop or c/calling?

Butchered is probably the word.

Any reads on the min raiser?

flatting pre is fine, this isn't 'an awful' flop for us though we obviously are really not thrilled about being minraised.

I think i'd mainly just fold flop unless i'd already opr'ed this guy/had a read on him denoting him as incapable of being good......

I definitely 3bet pre but I don't think calling is particularly bad.  As played I fold the flop but once I have called the flop I am willing to go all the way with the hand on a no overcard/no heart turn. Agree with Titbean that it isn't a horrible flop and whilst you are crushed by some hands he has you are crushing most of his overpairs.

wot are u putting him on george?

..as no rr from him pre he doesnt have a big pair as he wouldnt want to go to the flop 3 handed..unless real bad (although i have  have seen people voluntarily go to the flop 6 handed with kings when last to act ) obv his either protecting set or drawing... i think by the turn bet he has a set as a sensible player would take the free card u gave him to hit his draw and control the pot. Unless his total bluff happy loon....  As played fold the turn... not sure im folding the flop just yet because he is more likely to have a draw on such a wet board...

Although a set is a distinct possibility i do think that  JJ is a serious candidate. Villian sees your bet as a possible continuation bet with AK / AQ but is, at the same time concerned, correctly, that you may have the overpair and so makes a relatively cheap attempt to take the pot down. He then gets lucky on the turn and value bets you.
I think that not three betting was a mistake, but i think that betting and calling the min-raise on the flop was ok. I assume that you folded to the turn bet. Villian managed to put you in a very difficult spot, whatever he was holding due to his positional advantage. WP villian. Cheers for posting George Smiley
