Was involved on this a while back and have:

Hungary £20 win @ 20/1
Hungary £20 e/w @ 18/1 (better terms)
Hungary Top 10 £80 @ 5/4
Azerbaijan £20 e/w @ 14/1

The big risk was whether the (bit rough) Hungarian bird could crack out the voice live.  Actually missed the show last night but caught the highlights prior to voting and seemed ok.  Still thing it's a good song and should be well in the mix.

The French song stood out for me when I first heard them but just seemed a bit risky to back that as a short favourite.

Can't quite work out why Jedward have plummeted to 5/1 2nd fave in the betting but you can still get evens on a Top 10 finish.

Would rather lay them to qualify from the Semi than back either of those though  Smiley

Added austria@50s ew with pads first 4 ew.

Tbh im just following the money moves on betfair and the apparent place value with those that go first 4.

Will wait for the eurovision oracle chompy to tip up something on friday and then i'll wade in with the big stakes.

Think I might add Estonia @ 16/1 as looks like a freeroll.  Good song and should walk it tonight in the Semis so if it gets a good draw it goes to single figures.

Hungary has only weakened due to the poor draw.  Not up to speed on the draw stats for past results but think it is less of an issue now that the Semi Finals are a bigger deal so the songs are a bit better known before the final.  Not super confident on the win but fairly hopeful of it nabbing a Top 4 for a place.

And Azerbaijan should be a shoe in for a place if you look at results the last few years.  Been there or thereabouts every time despite shocking songs.  This time it's half decent and they won't be far off.

Draw is still mega important. Azerbaijan came out of the 1 box last year and it definitely cost them. They finished fifth. A later draw and they'd have been top three imo.

Would put you off Estonia. Guatanteed to qualify but I don't think it'll go single figures even with a late draw.

Finland is drawn 1 this year and I'm getting more interested in Denmark to be top scandie country.

I'm sorry, this is all terrible. Why are these countries even submitting.

Haven't listened to our song. I imagine it's just as terrible.

Massively on the right side of Denmark in the outrights. On the wrong side of Russia but happy to let it ride.

Back you get Jedward, ya pair of talentless feckers

Someone please explain the very basics of betting to Scott Mills

Being drawn early is a bad thing, yes?

IN any reality tv show, the draw is everything. Being drawn low is disasterous, just like X factor
