Not necessarily - If the name calling comes about because he is constantly calling with inferior cards and sucking out then it would be a cause for concern rather than a good sign. Law of averages says that the inferior hand will lose more than it will win and therefore your profit margin will suffer........

<note - monkey is not trying to imply that tank was constantly calling with inferior hands, i'm just making a generalization about the name calling being good>

Mommy, I just went platinum!!!

A tad later than planned but I'm there now. 90% still to go. Not finished for the night, but thought I'd update with this news.

Two other blondites that I know of are platinum already, and have been so for a wee while.
It has been confirmed that the new monitor is on the way, then I can pick up the pace. I'm going to push to be the first Blondite to go Supernova.

Days 20 and 21 - Day 20 I took off, went to a home game instead. Very glad I did, it was a cracking night, many thanks to lazaroonie for hosting a well organized poker sesh. We had chips, cards, seats, finger food, booze and good company. All essential ingredients for a good poker night.
Was intending to fit a few in when I got home, but a few Laz sized nips of 12 year old Macallan after a half dozen pints of the black stuff put paid to that idea. Wasn't worried, the poker would still be there in the morning. I fell asleep that night a contented chap.

Back to the salt mines for Day 21. Pokerstars flashed a message on my screen after I got knocked out of a tournament informing me that I had just obtained Platinum VIP status. It didn't do that for Silver or Gold. Made me feel dead special. (almost made up for crashing out of the tournament)
I can now do all sorts of platinum stuff....nah doesn't feel that special. SuperNova is where it's at.
Managed 7 batches of 4 today. Half a dozen batches feels like a days work, the 7th is for luck.

Days 20 and 21 Results
: +$745.5 (+$3264.8 total)
ROI : 13.2% (from 413 tournaments played)

So I'm back on the straight and narrow. Best get to bed now, I've got some schooling to do at 3pm in the unofficial blonde tournament.

I havent really read too much about the vip status, what benefits does platinum provide you with?

As regards the 3pm tourney id love to play but i am transferring my $$ across from paradise and it hasnt arrived in my neteller account so unable to deposit.

P.S Do u know if poker stars do i sign up bonus?

All the best

Nice to hear you're back on the road to riches my friend.

Out of interest, heres my online STT stats (playing a mix of $11, $22 and $33, mostly $33):

Earnings:   $-130.00
ROI:   -7.31%
Time played:   38h 30m
Sessions:   75

Which is depressing to say the least, especially as I was over $400 up at my peak.

Still I can't really grumble. STTs are just not my thing I've decided. I'll stick to grinding the MTTs now I have built a sizable roll on virgin. Before last nights little satellite win my online MTTs where at 236% ROI (with an overall total ROI of 72%). Now they are peaking at 658% for MTTs (275% overall). Of course that blip will go back down when I bomb out early in France.

It allows you to buy things from the VIP store.

Amongst other things:

SilverStar, an iPod nano for a mere 16,000 FPPs

GoldStar, Dell 19" LCD TV for a mere 42,000 FPPs

PlatinumStar, WSOP $1000 preliminary televised TV event for a small issue of 62,000 FPPs

Porsche Cayman S, yours on the PlatinumStar program for the handsome figure of 3,000,000 FPPs

Check it out now, the funk soul brother http://www.pokerstars.com/fpp_store.html

That is a very nice posrche. Maybey another 35 years and I will have enough points to get one. Actually by that time, we will probably have flying cars or something crazy like that. I think I will settle for the poster of Issabelle Mercier instead.

So as i see it the higher level you reach the quicker you earn the FPP points

So just for example: instead of getting say 5 points for every $ in fee u pay at basic level you get 10/15 points for platinum level (not sure the points are correct but you get my drift)
