Well Done Thomas The Tank!

I've been following this since you first started and I tried to rail every single game Wink So sorry I couldn't come online to watch your last game, I'm gutted about that. Hope you enjoy your freedom again. This is a great achievement and you should be very proud.

Now, Mr Supernova... Go and rest!

Love Poppet xx

Rest??? He didn't need no rest - he had to go out drink beer, cocktails & champagne!!!

I'll bet the lucky beggar's still in his kip though, while I've had to explain to the boss why I only got to work at 12:00.....

Congrats Tank.

I'm slightly confused about the maths. 4K $55s = 100K VPP but you've played other buy ins as well right?
How did you get 4000 STT's to add up to exactly 100K VPPs when you've been playing $100s and IIRC 20 tabling the $5s a little as well?

If i remember a few weeks ago he made sure he got back to the point where it all matched up so his 4000th sng would make him supernova, assuming they were all $55's from then on....obsessive? NEVER!

WELL DONE TANK!

Ha Rod, you missed the funniest bit - when the taxi driver tried to charge me 40 notes

Driver : "that will be 40 pounds please sir"
Me : "I dont f*ckn think so"
Driver : "Ok, we'll make it 30"
Me : " You're new to this haggling game, eh ? Look, here's a score, and I'll promise not to slap you about - is that a fair deal ?"
Driver : "No problem sir".

It seemed to be the night for trouble, Tank almost being successful in getting us thrown out of/refused entry to 3 successive pubs...

Must be my turn to by the champage next I think eh ?

cheers

4,000 STTs - I should have really written this on Sunday. Due to poor planning on my part, I wasn't really in any state to. There were those expecting a lenghty conclusion post, I perhaps dissapointed.

I'll try to keep this as brief as I can, and not too pompous. (Difficult for me)

I think finishing 3rd in my 4,000th was kinda fitting. You're still a winner, but not by much. That kinda sums up where I am. The ROI for 4,000 ended up as a lower than intended 7.1%. I made some decent money for a guy my age, but nothing that makes it worth doing this forever. I am not the second coming, nor am I the greatest thing to happen in the history of STTs. I still have a lot to learn and will continue teaching myself and learning from others.

Having said that, I do definately feel like a winner. One hell of a grind, but I got there. I don't regret doing it for a second. I'll take all the congratulations and celebrate a little by saying this....

I've really got a kick out of all your kind words this year and it warms me to think that there have been so many reading and enjoying my writings here. I need to keep my feet firmly planted on the ground though, do not expect 4,000 STTs the board game or 4,000 STTs the music video to hit the shops any time soon. I will, however, In the next month or so, write a kinda retrospective look-back and evaluation of it all, in article form, for the main page.

Thankyou all for helping me feel good about myself again. I have confidence to go forth and.....................well, you'll have to wait and see  Wink

Now that I'm done, a lot of people have been asking what's next for thetank.

For one thing, I'm going to be updating the blog a little more often.
Expect a post on theblondetank.blogspot.com towards the end of the week outlining my plans for the near future.
Sneak Peak........Obtain some balance in my life

4,000 STTs Results : +$17,243.5
FPPs earned : 245,000

Now I think it's time to finally put this thread to bed.

Aloha

Congrats Tank Cool

With your quest finished you have saved me about 10 minutes more in bed everyday as each morning I check emails, sports in Canada, and Tank's 4000 STT thread. I will miss reading it.

 thumbs up well done

Brilliant Tank! This must be the only thread where I have read every single post in any webforum. I hope you come up with some new targets so we can enjoy some more reading.

I'm missing this already Sad

I thought I'd pop into 'Internet Poker' and look at the 4000 stts thread and realised  that there isn't much point now. Please do another challenge soon Tank, I think a lot of people will be suffering from withdrawal symptoms after a week!
