Day 120 (part one) - Morning everybody. We've arrived here at last, the 30th of April.

Although finishing this mission will come as quite a relief, and I'm looking forward to taking it easier for a few weeks afterwards, there's also a bit of melancholy kicking about inside me aswell.

I've played nearly 4,000 and it feels as if I've played 4,000,000 but it's like the end of an era, and that's always a little sad.

After busting out of the Mad Marty tournament just before midnight (never really got ahold of any chips, I was happy with the way I played though) I hopped home to crack into the 122 remaining tournaments. Just done the first sesh. 89 turbos in just over 9 hours.

Still need to get 33 done, so the hard graft ain't quite over and done with yet. I stopped for something to eat, and thought I'd write this chitty too.
I'll miss writing these wee updates you see. So to indulge myself, I'm doing more than one today.

Day 120 (part one) Results : +$798(so far) (+$17,794 total)
ROI : 7.4% (after 3,967 tournaments)

We're still on for 6pm for the 4,000th, however it might be pushed back a little.

The final of Mad Martys tournament is being played at 3pm. Teacake will probably win it within 3 hours (the blinds are getting hefty) If, however, he doesn't win it until 6pm, I don't want to steal his thunder.

Or I might do a Ronnie O'Sullivan and just quit at 3,999. Cheesy

Anyway, back to do the salt mines for a session of 32 tournaments. Not 33 (tis too many) and not 31 (tis too few).

Go Thomas go.

Good luck and don't you dare do a Ronnie. Getting a comma would be the icing on the cake and it looks like you're well on target.

Day 120 (part two) - I'll let Robert HM off the hook. If anyone's guilty of bokking, it's me for doing a multi-part update.

We've given around 600 dollar back during that last batch of 32. Got a load more bubbles for my collection though, I'm forever blowing them  >:?

I'm using the term we a lot instead of I during this update. That's because I have a lot to thank blonde for. Were it not for the encouragement of y'all, I would have packed up the whole plan in the middle of January. We likely wouldn't have been $17k+ up, and we certainly wouldn't have been one tournament away from Supernova. I see the whole thing as having been a team effort and so hereby declare that I owe everyone who's posted on this thread a Coke.

I have enormous respect for those brave enough to publicly speak their mind, even if they think it might be unpopular.
Special thanks to those who have been honest enough to express their doubts, either on on this thread, or to me in person. Either questioning the way I've been doing things, or doubting that I'd be able to get there in time. These posts spurred me a surprising amount. I felt more determined to prove something because of them.

Day 120 (part two) Results : +$214.5(so far) (+$17,210.5 total)
ROI : 7.1% (after 3,999 STTs)
RDRR :  erm....   1

So unfortunatley it hasn't worked out as rosily as it looked a few hours back. No matter really in the grand ol' scheme of things, a definate profit is logged for Day 120. Definite beers will be being lifted very soon.

Well we've got one tournament to go. What do we have to shoot for?

Here's the gig, if we get 1st or 2nd place then our ROI over the course of 4,000 will be 7.2%
If we get anything else then the ROI will remain at 7.1%

It ain't 15%, it ain't 8.5%, but Cmooooooon, let's make it 7.2% and finish things off on a triumphant note.  thumbs up

The grande finale will begin at 6pm (unless the final at Cincins is still going)

I'm off to rail the remaining blondites (and Tess) over in Cincinnatis. See y'all in a few hours then, in the meantime, heres a piccy......
