It's effectively a DTD Festival structure two day event. €500 entry.
It's not a €500 tourney at all though because you're already in the money.
It's the 2nd stage of a €50 tourney and you've already min cashed.
Whatever it is, despite my early reservations I now think it's awesome purely because nobody has a clue how it's going to work out.
Whatever happens I know I'll be having a few goes.
we at blonde are in no doubt you will be having a few goes.
me on the other hand will be trying to make th first one count.....
imagine if he made it multi entry like on tilt and you combined your stacks on day two. i would not put something like that past these people.

ah, now I get where the confusion is. I'm assuming that re-entries means you can enter another qualifier. matt/nana assuming you can do that or re-enter the same one
surely I'm assuming it correctly as I can't imagine the dtd software allows for re-entries in the online qualifiers, they'll just be run as seperate tournies and you can enter more than one of these, no?
or will the live and online day 1s be using different rules?
I'm still assuming you can re-enter on the day. Would make sense, esp for the live legs.
Whether or not DTDs software allows you to do this online is a different question of course...
I think that you might find that is why they are running two staggered qualifiers each day.
If you get knocked-out of the early one you can re-enter in the second,

Ah excellent. A cash equivilent is much better as I already have a car.
...not that I have to worry about winning a chip and making the final of course.

If the car is worth a little bit more than the cash prize, then it makes a little bit more sense imo. For example if the car is worth £17,000 new and you can take that or £15,000 in cash - then you have a decision to make. Otherwise, the cash is a no-brainer (unless there's insurance and free-servicing thrown in, etc.)

We'll cross that bridge when we come to it, methinks.
I've had two golden chips and played in countless overlays, and haven't got anywhere in any of them.

Guys,
Understand why there is a lot of questions as we have made a few changes, but we have thought this out quite a bit and decided to go for it if we went close to the 1600 this time, please read this
http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/grandprix
and direct any questions to Simon on this thread and he will answer them.
My views are:
1. Massive (and 250k is bloody massive) prize pool for all backrolls to have a shot at
2. Re-entry means our locals can still play a few times in a week on Grand Prix weeks (quote "we come every night and now you put this bloody grand prix on and we can only play once")
3. Re-entry and 2 flights allows Weekend and Friday travelling players have another shot (quote: "Ive travelled 300 miles to your club and had my AA cracked first hand")
3. Online option cuts down on travelling expenses for players miles away (quote: "I've paid 300 quid in hotels and petrol to come your club and got busted in level 1")
4. Golden Chip - its just fun for it to be a car
5. Runner records, only unique players could count as the actual number of players in this format, but im happy for this weeks 1570 to stand as record until someone beats it, we want to try and break every uk record at every buy-in up to £1000, this is going to take time, the "dream" is to somehow stage a comp where the winner got £1 million, but that's a long time away from our current plans
6. Everyone starts with 15k chips and 25-50 blinds, avoids a 20 bb average crap shoot due on Saturday, we can't have players are travelling back to the club from all over the uk to play a 20bb comp, quality of play is important especially at these levels of prize pools
7. All players that make Saturday in the money (quote:"Ive travelled 200 miles back to play saturday and bubbled and got xxxx all")
This Grand Prix 4 is my favourite ever tournament concept to try and put on, Monte Carlos and Deepstacks are also fun but the Grand Prixs are the most interesting and high risk.
Will we hit the €250k prize pool, well, we will try our best but I'm happy to take any bets at EVEN MONEY for a bit of fun, just post the amount on here and your name.
Cheers Rob

Online Day 1's will be 8th to 12th August , 2 each day at 7pm and 9pm.
So not all the day 1 flights are at DTD there is 10 run online?
The day 1's are pretty much satellites into day 2!
There will be 5 days of online satellites, 2 flights a day 8th to 12th August then 10 more in the club, 2 flights Saturday 13th / Sunday 14th / Friday 19th and one each day Mon - Thu.
Cheers

The way I read it day 1 is just a satellite to get you through to day 2 with a new starting stack and the standard deepstack structure?
Is that correct?
Yes
