Lee, did you do rest stops or take "breathers" and if so, how long for?

How did you feel the next day?

Are you as amazed that Phatomch managed to walk 37+ miles without dieting or training?

we took rest stops when one of us needed to

going up the hills we took the most breaks but they was not for long ...just a breather

i pushed my body to its limit as Kev said the 5.5 miles back was a killer i could hardly walk.

the next day and yesterday i have struggled to walk my calf's are in so much pain my groin and hamstrings feel like they are on fire!!

i feel a bit better today and am only limping a bit lol

as for  Phatomch walking 37 miles is truly amazing i only done 25 with a couple of hills in the way fair play to the man!

phatomch didn't have any powder and he lost nearly 3 stone in 7 weeks since starting work.

as for the walk, he did it and im surprised at the post on someone else's thread Red.

if you dont believe him then fine but don't invade someone's thread who has done a good thing for charity, in fact  both of them done good things for charity.

As for not believing phat because you couldnt walk it he has got 30 years on you.

With respect. I can post on any thread I like and I didn't say I don't believe him.

I will however have a prop bet that he can't do it again any time soon with me following along on my bike.

i agree yes you can post on any thread but , maybe shouldn't hijack lee's. (only my thoughts).

the previous posts on my thread basically  showed you didnt believe him/me and he is happy to do take the prop if enough can be raised for charity and will even let you choose 1 charity and will do a 50/50 split on that and h4h.

If he wins he can donate the money to charity if he wishes. I will do my own donating as and when it suits me in private.

As far as I'm concerned this is just a bet between two blokes. How much does he want to bet and when does he want to do it?

he goes back to work tomorrow and will look at rota's but he reckons end of july as he will haveto take a few days off work and say £500. The route will have to be roadways from a hotel back to hotel.

I said any time soon, but tell him to offer me a date that's suitable and I'll let him know if we're on closer to the time.

he's only just taken a week off for his birthday and holidays are booked for managers for the next few months so days off are already planned. Im sure you understand that it hard to take time off at short notice as will need to travel and a day to recover

And I'm sure that you can see that if he knows he is capable of walking 20 miles now, that the would like 6 weeks to try and train up for the other 17.

fair point. I can say i was at the finish line with his parents and his brothers wife so I know he did it but everyone is welcome to their own opinion. If he could do it any sooner he would but having split days off for the next 4 weeks makes it impossible to do
