Not all bums as such but take an old Wlad out of there and it’s not the strongest CV. That’s largely due to the lack of depth in the heavyweight division though. His performances post Wlad have also had question marks over them. Struggled to get Takam out of there, Povetkin had his moments etc. That said he should have been more than capable of getting Ruiz out of there. I suspect complacency played a part in the defeat though, as in now way this fat chump is beating me. Really really tough to come back from a loss like that as a heavyweight. Only the really great fighters are able to do it.
I would have backed Fury as well, more because I'd feel stupid to go against anything you're max betting Playing devil's advocate. Did Vlad really age that much in 18 months? Didn't he break his nose in the 2nd against Takam. Looking at his fights, it seems that when he gets hit he loses the rag and that's what happens. Will either be the best thing that ever happens to him, or he'll be done after the rematch. Hopefully he wins the rematch, and then we'll get to see them all ruck Wlad was 41 coming off a fairly convincing loss, bound to be a fair bit of regression at that age. You can excuse the Takam performance i guess. One thing that’s definitely apparent is his power at the top level isn’t all that. He simply doesn’t have the power to lay men out with one shot (hence why I ended up doing my bollocks backing him to win by TKO). He’s been able to wear down decent opponents and get stoppages in the second half of fights due to cumulative effect. Yeah, can see that. Not a damaging one, but still see what you mean. Remember someone else in boxing saying that he was different in that he didn't have absolute power, but hits hard, and has a finishers ability to just drive through an opponent when he sees they're hurt. Obviously works until you catch one in the dome

There was something wrong with Joshua in that fight, don’t think he simply got beat by the better guy, there is something else going on with him to perform that poorly imo....

The re-watch turned me from sympathetic like Woodsey to scathing like Dave Allen. He doesn't like the immediate re-match. He's all wrong for us baby as Steve Kim and Mario Lopez like to say.

Why was AJ's Dad upset with Eddie Hearn? Is there a backstory there?

Why was AJ's Dad upset with Eddie Hearn? Is there a backstory there? No idea, but unlikely we'll ever find out if there is. Eddie said he was just upset and emotional at the start of this interview.

Why was AJ's Dad upset with Eddie Hearn? Is there a backstory there? That's my first sighting of senior since the Dillian Whyte fight. Someone in the ring made the mistake of giving him the mic and he went on an unprovoked rant about how his son was not on PED's. Proper old school African hot head so he is.

Didn't see that One does not forget that level of cringe. It was definitely back around his British title level time.

My lesion riddled half dozen brain cells had forgotten that, though

No idea if BS or not, just popped up on a boxing feed I follow....
‘It's been reported the current European Heavyweight champion Agit Kabayel heavily dropped Anthony Joshua and knocked him out cold in sparing prior to the Ruiz loss leading to his father trying to get the main event pulled. Eddie Hearn refused the request leading to this argument in the ring immediately after the 7th round stoppage’

He was marked up before the fight, but wouldn't think he'd be allowed to fight if he got starched?
