Currently reading The Lost Soul of Eamonn MaGee by Paul Gibson. Won the William Hill Sports book of the year a couple of years back. About growing up boxing in Belfast during the troubles. Run ins with the IRA. His battles with addiction to drugs, booze and gambling. Just got to the part in 2002 where he fought a youngish Ricky Hatton. Good read so far. Very well written though MaGee comes over as quite unlikeable and a complete mess. I have no idea how he ever made it in the ring for a fight the state he was in most of the time. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lost-Soul-Eamonn-Magee/dp/178117573XAnyone else read it? Any other favourite boxing books?

Just watched the Panorama doc on Dan Kinahan & MTK.
All stuff that's well known, but someone is trying to derail the Fury fight.

Any other favourite boxing books? Donald McRae's writing stands out. Dark Trade is a rights of passage classic. I also enjoyed A Man's World about Emile Griffith's double life.

You wouldn't trust Barry McGuigan with a secret, would you?

Hope you had a good Xmas, mate!
Shame the last year has killed a lot of the fighting off, and hopefully we'll be back in the groove by '22.

Fucking hell, that was some finish Ref a bit slow to step in there. Could have avoided the heavy knockdown as he was clearly done a few seconds before. Really fancy Zelfa here to get the stoppage. Kiko too small and a style that doesn’t age well. Good spot of matchmaking.

Glad he got up and seemed ok, looked horrendous. I'll chuck that in with Burns to do Usman later. Good luck us!
