Hi All,
My first post here but have been reading for a while. Just like to say seems a great community with some good solid advice.

Here's my situation. I am currently living in Dubai(UAE) working as the golf operations manager at abu dhabi golf club which is soon to hold the first european tour event of the year which is very cool!. I am 22 and picked up the game of poker in August 04. I then had to stop in January 05 to come and move to here ( i was living in Manchester,UK). Since then i have read and re read several good poker books and improved my strategy, maths side and generally my whole game, however as poker is illegal here and most poker sites are blocked here i haven't been able to play much poker. I guess i should get to the point...lol

I am looking to move back to the UK preferably Manchester again as i love the place but i would be happy anywhere. I am currently saving all my wages to play poker properly for 6/12 months, as I just want to see where i'm at, as during my spell from Aug-Jan I have some very nice results on Paradise and Party. I consider myself a MTT player but also love to play SNG's and limit holdem. My question is this....does anyone have a room to rent in the north west area (or any) to a avid poker player and a nice guy. I am going to look myself at some places to stay as i know the manchester area pretty well but would love to share with like minded people. I enjoy my job but i want to take this risk, if i fail then i fail,no regrets at least i can say i tried. I play golf to high standard so if my poker fails i shall be applying for my PGA and most likely become a teaching professional. Any comments greatly appreciated.

Happy New Years to everyone and may you all have a prosperous year in poker.

Regards John

Hi All,
wow quick responses on here!!! lol. as i said i know manchester pretty well and its surrounding areas and i'm aware i could rent somewhere for what i'm willing to pay, but also i'd prefer to share with someone with similar interests etc,its not much fun living on your own. If i can't find anyone to board with then i will go solo. I also forgot to mention when all this is taking place. I am planning on returning in June/July.

its easily possible, i bought a second house with poker proceeds with the intention of renting it out and although i'm not in the most desirable area of manchester - i'm just on the tameside part of the border with greater manchester, i rent mine for £360 a month (2 bedroom).

Unfortunately i dont know of anywhere near me available to rent - though i do agree with yt i would remove the amount you are prepared to pay from your post as you may well get a cheaper offer.
