Maybe so, but you would think that they would report it too.....

Wouldn't it be cheaper for them to save the money buying the ticket to the game and using that money for the said products instead?

Exactly my point..

Obviously makes me a snowflake in some eyes....not sure why.....

I understand why you think it is a poor decision on the women's part.

I understand why you think the club's action could be questioned.

I don't understand why you care about it.

Oh trust me, it doesn't bother me the way Bobs car breaking down would.

It's one of those eye rolling stories that makes you wonder how you get to points like this, and how people can justify such strange thinking. Yes, I'm sure its costs next to nothing, but just wtf. You can afford to go to a footy game, but you cant be bothered to/won't buy tampons yourself. Maybe I am misinterpreting the information, because based on other threads, I think I must be.........

We don't have a thread called "things that make your eyes roll" though Grin

I think the point about this story is that it the underlying problem of Period Poverty is real but not much known. The link to football clubs is a good way to publicise the issue and make people think about it.
The point of the campaign is that people shouldn’t have to choose between going to the match and buying sanitary products, any more than they should have to choose between getting the bus home and walking in the snow because they had to buy sanitary products.

As a general enquiry, have you seen the film I, Daniel Blake? It is an eye-opener if you have little experience of the benefits system.

It pisses me off that I can’t be more reasonable and reasoned like nirvana in my approach to posting.

I will try harder.

Quite funny that but I am big enough to acknowledge I've always been the voice of reason

Brexit.

The ‘word’ not the deed. It is an abomination of a concoction and whoever coined it should have his head on a spike next to Cameron’s.
