Episode one.

Exactly the same humour as his golden globes speech, i.e. saying very inappropriate and insulting things to people who don't deserve it.

Granted it is funny, but the rudeness just rubs me up the wrong way.

Off to watch episode 2.

No, it’s very different because in Afterlife it comes from the character’s heart.

I wouldn't say that being rude and offensive as Ricky Gervais and being rude and offensive as a Ricky Gervais character was very different.

Nevertheless it was an excellent series and I enjoyed it muchly.

Me too, I've already recommended it to someone else. (Not Tony, he's obdurate)

If you want to cheer yourself up look for Greg Wallace's restaurant reviews.  I don't really mind him too much, but it is pretty clear running a restaurant is not in his skill set.

Don't know about you lot but this lockdown is starting to piss me off now. I'm one of the lucky ones who can work from home without any issues and although I love my family and would gladly give up my life for the any of them spending 24 hours a day together with them is testing that love Smiley

Could be worse mate , they could suffer with Dementia and you could have to explain why we are in lockdown about a dozen times a day.

That is very true mate, ad if you are going through this i have every sympathy for you. Not quite the same but my mother-in-law is very poorly with MS an can't understand why we only drop the weekly shop off without going in for a chat.
