The kids are great.  They've all got big exams coming up and I'm told they're studying hard.  I speak to Sarah nearly every day on Skype.  What a great thing that is!  Now and then Brian and SinĂ©ad join our chats, but they're mostly busy being teens.

Very nearly had Brian and Sarah over for a couple of days during Easter, but it didn't work out in the end.  I was gutted at the time, but reminded myself - I made the move so have to deal with the consequences.  It hits me harder some days more than others, but Jack handles it well when the down moods hit.

The pair of them are definitely coming over in July though and I'm really looking forward to it!  It'll be the first time Brian and Jack meet and I reckon they'll get along grand.

Soooooooo, everything's basically good and we're kept busy.  Just have to train Archie not to dig up the new lawn now.  He really likes digging too.  Odds on success?  We're screwed, aren't we?

Found a recipe today for sweet potato dog chew treats.  Archie LOVES them!!!

Hoping they get approval from our blonde dog experts because they're super easy to make and he really does like 'em.

They look great. I'd probably like those myself.

    Jack said the same thing.

I've only made a small tray of them to be sure I was doing it right.  Have the 'cooking' part down, but messed up the cuttings.  Do yourself a favour and cut them lengthwise so they're like proper long chewies.  I did them along the width and they've shrunk a goodly bit, with the largest pieces being no bigger than 50p coins.

Size doesn't matter as far as Archie's concerned.  He's definitely mad about them.  But larger slices would mean more chew time.

This morning we took him for the usual doggy group meet up in the park.  The guy who kind of organised it likes to take the piss out of everyone's dogs.  He reckons his terriers are far superior to the rest and especially grunts at the labs in the group.  We just smile away and basically ignore the digs because our dogs are having fun and don't give a toss what he thinks, so why should we?

Anyway, Archie and Fudge were wrestling as usual.  What wasn't usual was Dexter the terrier's sudden interest, which had his owner proper mortified.  Fudge is female, but poor old Dexter was flexible...
