Tuesday and time to do some of that sight seeing stuff. First stop, The Venetian.
"Right Lads...let's build a canal just like you'd see in Venice. Oh yeah...and let's do it on the second floor of the new building."
That must have been one heck of a meeting.

It was while we were in The Venetian that Jack and I stumbled upon our first 'post binks' Pandora shop. It's a jewellery shop where they sell this charm bracelet I've been mad about for a few years now. Well, we walked out of the shop with the start of me very own charm bracelet by the time we were done. I say 'start of' because you're not meant to fill it in one go. Each charm is supposed to mean something to you. At least that's the way mine is going to be.

Next stop was the Stratosphere. Ger Jr. and Jack were keen to go on the rides there. I was mostly keen to avoid falling off the building. Not a big fan of heights, but Ger walked me through it while wee man and Jack went on the rides.
Some pretty amazing sights from up there. After a while I found I wasn't freezing up as much. Reckon it's because I was so impressed with the sights and too busy concentrating on taking photos, to notice the 1100 feet missing between myself and the ground.

Meanwhile those eejits, hung out in thin air for fun. At least our guys were in the last row. A bit more warning before crashing to the ground, don't ya know.

This thing was a big arm with seats hanging off of it. Once everyone's seated, the arm swings out and yer flying around facing the ground with nothing between you and that ground... except air.

Yeah, it's safe to hang out here. That's why they have 8ft high bars to protect the sane ones.

They shot up the top of this thing too, but it was a level higher than us and I didn't get a shot of them...

Next stop was Fremont Street...and I liked it - a lot. More compact and much easier to get from the A's to B's of places down there than it is on the main strip. Plus they have their own sort of character. They didn't try to copy NYC, Venice or anywhere else. They didn't need to, because they're the original. Yes, those other buildings are pretty, but they're only copies at the end of the day. I've more respect for originals. Even if they're old and worn out a bit. That's what makes them special.

Still have another bit to go and 60 more photos to wade through, but the eyes are suddenly failing me. Until tomorrow...

Cheers Lads. Had a decent night's sleep and reckon we've the jet lag thing finally kicked. Going to plow through Vegas today because I've loads more to post after. Need to get back on track before Christmas hits and throws me off schedule again.
