HTC Desire Phone

Anyone got one? Pros cons v an I phone? I like the fact that it is smaller than an I-phone, camera looks half decent too for a phone. Would prefer any hatred for apple was put to one side and an objective view please........

that is impartial. I've given you 4 pros. there are no cons, I'm not going to invent them just so you get a balanced view
if I wanted to do the apple hate thing I could reel off 20 reasons to go android over iphone

Look's bigger, prefer a smaller phone, that's partly who I'm looking at at this instead of the I-phone which is bigger again............

lol at iphone being sheepy. Until the latest HTC (which was realeased a year later) it was clearly the best phone on the market. Now its pretty close but the iphone 5 comes out in August so probably best to hold out for that or at least get a shorter contract so you can upgrade to 5 asap.
As for iphone 4 vs HTC, the iphone is the winner if you already use itunes cos its all there already or if you want better camera and video. HTC has a faster processor and the multitasking is smoother but most of the reviews say that you're only really going to notice the difference if you hammer the apps pretty hard
Iphones were obv really popular in the last year or two, now apple bashing is in so everyones getting HTCs. Answers on a postcard what'll happen when everyone has an HTC and the iphone 5 gets established.
I can only talk about the iphone from personal experience but I've had one since the iphone 2 and never had a technical fault. One broke but that was because I dropped it face down in the road and phone covers tilt me. HTC is probably cheaper though so flip a coin I guess if you're that unsure.

Gotta be honest I'd snap get an I-phone if it weren't so damn big. Part of the reason I've still got on old sony ericsson is because phones seem to have got bigger since then and I like its portability, probs going to have to go into a shop and check them out in person.
With a HTC can i put my I tunes music onto it or is there compatability issues?
Quite a funny debate this as people are either sold on one or the other in the main so its hard to get true impartiality.......

lol at everyone (in general not just here) who thinks they have to pick sides.
All I can say is from personal experience, I had an iPhone, then got a HTC. I liked the HTC, and agree that they seem a lot faster as both a processor and for web surfing. However, I have switched back to an iPhone because they are just so easy to use, so instinctive, and imo better for the basic consumer stuff like pictures, music, video, facebook etc.
