blonde NFL Fantasy League 2019/20

The league has been set up on nfl.com as a 12 team league, split into 3 divisions.

6 teams will make the playoffs, so everyone should still have meaningful games deep into the season.

Entry fee: $20 - Stars transfer preferred but can work something out for anyone who can't do this.
Prize split to be decided following consultation with managers.

League is password protected - details to be sent out on receipt of entry fee.

Draft Date provisionally set for Friday 2nd Sep, 9pm (dependent on manager availability).  Trying to keep it close to the start of Week 1 on 8th September.

Standard nfl.com rules, with 2 minor tweaks to scoring:

1) kickoff & punt return TDs count for 6 pts, not zero, like any other TD
2) 40-49yd FGs score 4 pts, not 3.  So under 40 scores 30, 40-49 scores 4 and 50+ scores 5.

For anyone new to this (as I was last season) it's a lot of fun and will rapidly increase your knowledge of the league and it's players and make more games relevant to you.

I don't want to set too high an entry fee if it's going to put people off from giving this a try for the first time.

Hopefully we can get enough people playing this year who might want to increase the entry fee next season, at which point we could look at things such as expanded rosters, keeper leagues, etc.  I think for now, it's best to be pretty much standard rules.

It's a tough balance but hoping that $20 is about the right level for this year.

It's a provisional date for now, so not set in stone, so we can look to set a time suitable for all once we know who the players are.

It's also not the end of the world if someone misses it for any reason, as there's an auto pick option (with a default to the auto-ranking of players, although you can tweak the rankings yourself if you like).  You wouldn't end up with an empty roster with the dregs that no-one has drafted to choose from if you didn't make the draft.

Admittedly, the draft is quite good fun though.
