OK peeps, time to get this show on the road again for the new season.

I'm not planning on major changes to the format from last season, but am open to feedback from everyone.  There will be a variable buy-in once again (probably the same choice of $20 or $100, so hopefully the low option won't put off interested newcomers).

Auction date will be a midweek evening as close to the start of Week 1 (first game of the season is September 5th) as we can get, so that the real-life rosters are as final as possible.  For now, let's say Tuesday 3rd September at 9pm, provisionally, but subject to feedback from everyone.

Further details on format to be confirmed once we know the likely number of teams playing, so for now please just post in the thread to confirm participation (existing players) or to express interest in joining the fun if you haven't played before.  Anyone not sure, feel free to ask questions on the thread or to PM me.  A good place to start would be to skim through the thread which has the last two season's shenanigans contained within.

Cliffs: Huge fun for a minimal spend and a great way to improve your appreciation/understanding of the NFL, if nothing else.  Camel is the defending champion, after prevailing in his rookie season of Fantasy NFL.

Would there be any interest for a second league in the dynasty format? Keeps people interested even after they are no longer contending.

It's a variable buy-in, so you have the choice of $20 or $100, with those paying the higher fee competing for the equivalent of a side-pot.  Consequently, the 'twenty is plenty' peeps are not priced out.

In general terms yes, but it's not worth making the final decision until I know likely numbers.  A roster planned for a 20 team league is no good in a 10 team league, and vice versa.

I'm planning on keeping the 2TE rule though, just out of spite
