Send me the one marked Plan E

I read an article the other day that said:

"Curious why we always say to get your running backs early? Look at the fall off after Stevan Ridley. If you go QB or WR very early in your draft, you could end up with Gore, Miller or Bush as your No 1 back."

This did make me laugh when I stumbled across it again when deciding on my second round pick

I have just decided to go all in with the Chip Kelly revolution, this is going to be embarrasing if his offence doesn't work in the NFL.

Remind me to show you all the team I, somehow, managed to get from the 8 ball in a 10 teamer last night on nfl.com. It has to be seen to be believed. Not showing you until AFTER this draft though as the shrewd ones amongst you will be able to work out some of the guys I have earmarked...

And here it is...

" I drafted from the 8 ball.

R1-8 Doug Martin TB-RB

R2-13 Jamaal Charles KC-RB

R3-28 A.J. Green CIN-WR

R4-33 Robert Griffin III WAS-QB

R5-48 Roddy White ATL-WR

R6-53 Stevan Ridley NE-RB

R7-68 Seattle Seahawks SEA-DEF

R8-73 Reggie Bush DET-RB

R9-88 Pierre Garcon WAS-WR

R10-93 Greg Zuerlein STL-K

R11-108 Cecil Shorts JAC-WR

R12-113 Shane Vereen NE-RB

R13-128 Sam Bradford STL-QB

R14-133 Coby Fleener IND-TE

R15-148 Jordan Cameron CLE-TE"

Thanks everyone.

That was a gruelling draft (16 teamers are toughies!) but it looks like everyone had fun.

Horner's autopick did him proud, and he managed to log in for the later rounds where it would probably have made some odd picks.

Tighty truly hated the No1 pick followed by the long, long wait.

LeKnave took a bold, bold decision to roll with Carson Palmer as his No1 QB, and his No2 aswell.

I thought the new guys acquitted themselves well, given that this was totally new to many of them.

Might try and do a spot more analysis later, but feel free to add your own thoughts.

Oh, and fair warning, the first game is TOMORROW NIGHT, so if you plan on starting Broncos or Ravens then get your teams set in the next 24 hours!

That running back charge early doors was fun! Nothing I could do about it but watch.

Do you set your team for the weekend or can you change it on Saturday/Sunday as well?

Thanks for organising this, Sheriff. Don't think I've embarrassed myself too much so far.

there are some very good teams in there, I think. the usual bandits!

I did indeed hate 1,32,33,64,65

Of course you have to take AP at 1, but by the time 32 comes around the best WR and RB options are gone and by the time 64 comes around the pool of starters in the key position of RB are quite thin

Far prefer to pick 16,17 or 12,19 etc

but it is what it is.

16 team draft was markedly different, much to learn for strategy in those, particularly the flex positions

Horneris autopick made out big time with Spiller in 11.

Most leagues take 10 running backs 1-10 and then Megatron goes 11, he saw two non RBs go in the top 10 and lucked into Spiller

Sheriff did have a good draft. Wilson was shrewd. Bryant went number 2 WR, which he has done in some very powerful leagues this drafting season

Players lock at their individual kick off times, so the only thing to worry about for tomorrow is BAL and DEN players.  You'll have until 6pm at least until anyone else plays after that.

Ok. Thanks for the answers, chaps.

Jacquizz Rodgers's brother is called...James. No idea why, but I find that really funny.
