Quick update on Covid consequences. A while back, there was a discussion on this thread about what to do with players who either opt out or who have Covid issues during the season.

Season-long opt outs have been determined now, so it's only those who have a new medical issue or a new family issue who can opt out, or those who have a Covid illness. And there will inevitably be some who test positive or are otherwise required to isolate during the season for a short period.

The question has been raised about what we're doing this season, so I've had a chat with TightEnd.

If you have a player who ends up missing the season through Covid or the Opt-Out facility, or already has opted out

It's one of those things that can happen to any of our teams, so it's just variance and you'll have to take it on the chin, just like if a player does his ACL.

If a player has a Covid absence for a short period

We expect Yahoo to have an injury designation for this, so you can use the IR slots if you want to, if Yahoo allows it. Again, this is just another part of the variance of the game.

If there's a second wave and there are major implications across the league.

We expect Yahoo to do something in that case and we'll have to adjust accordingly.

Temporary drops

This was mentioned early on as a possibility. However, we want to avoid a situation where people drop players on a temporary basis, where they get first dibs on them later on. It's a bit of a faff to police and Tighty and I would rather keep it clean and simple.

Hi, my other league is now drafting on Sunday 6th so I can join the redraft if you're not already full.
I do have somewhere I'd like to be late evening on the Monday so if at all possible I wonder if we'd consider drafting earlier? Sort of 7pm or as early as possible. But I can find a way to make it work if that's not convenient for people.
