Blackpool!!

Obv my TR is in the staking thread but have to say GL to George today when i joined his table he was with a similar stack to mine until one mans mistake lets him get his double through and obv these things can change your tourney.

George makes it 800 from roughly 6.5k at 2/400 and an old boy (see below) who has 100chips more than George flats in the c/o we see a flop of  and george cbets 1100 the old boys makes it 3000 and then calls off Georges shove with a chuckle to be shown  vs his  and due to the old boys mega tight nature and the way he had previously played a couple of hand if he shoves the c/o pre Chuckles said he folds  WAL

During my time on the table I was chatting to the fella who was from Birmingham and he told me he was terminally ill with Cancer and I said I had lost my Dad a couple of years ago to the disease also. What a top man he is and I'm sorry that I never got his name to mention him not that he obv reads my diary but he said he was diagnosed terminal but has benefitted from an extra 3 years so far with whatever they are doing for him or maybe his own positive attitude, and basically he now does what he wants which means playing poker events wherever he can.

Hats off to you sir, a pleasure meeting you and I sincerely hope you carry on a good time yet......

POST BLACKPOOL!

After getting KO'd drove straight back down worked Saturday and then Sunday tidied up the house as Petra and Maxwell were flying back and picked up the dog from the kennels before driving over to meet Celtic for a coffee and a chat late afternoon.

We met at "The Marriot" Waltham Abbey which is where Vinny tells me all the footballers meet up [ ] we sure looked like premier league footballers. Vinny was telling me about his new job which sounds very interesting and his staking deal and I hope that works out for him.
I wanted to bounce a few ideas off him and there is a lot of him to bounce off so that worked well and in a way I think he may have inspired me and the family to do something next year that would mean a massive life/career change but first i need to write a plan of action before finally deciding on this.

Obviously when it came to settling the bill Vinny hung back as we stood up from the table but tokenly put his hand towards his pocket as the barman printed off the bill alas this was only to pull out his cigarettes in readiness for a smoke and yet again Vinny faded paying  WAL.

I then drove to Luton and picked up the family which was  Smiley and Maxwell although suffering from a throat virus was uber pleased to see me and even seemed to like the tache, Petra hates it on the other hand but you cant win them all can you. It was great to have them home and I can get back to eating healthier now as I was double lazy whilst away.

Maxwell has this infection and a cold and over in Slovakia they have this contraption that attaches to the hoover and then a tube attaches to that with a small end piece that once the hoover is turned on sucks all the catarrh and mucus out, Max hates it and cries but it defo is +ev and after just seeing the difference in breathing you can see its worth it.
Here is one

WORK!

Is pretty rubbish atm deals being lost as buyers try to reneg at the very end of transaction and also a general lack of activity from buyers who seem to have gone into hibernation till next year already and this is a trend that has now happened for a couple of years however it used to be at the end of November and now its the beginning. A typical day is now  3-5 viewings, some daily canvassing of homes to try and get them on the market with us, get an offer at £440k with the house having been on the market for 3 days at £450k and the vendor wants his asking price ( he will regret this obv when in 3 months time having declined it against our advice he then only gets offers at £425k and then turns to you and says "I wish i listened to you in November") and try to save a deal where the buyer 1 week before exchange pleads poverty due to the stock market dropping and no longer has £325 cash for the bungalow he wishes to buy but only £315k and are the vendors ok with that?

This is really influencing what i may look to do next year so watch this space...

Lol no not yet and for most of my career the firm I worked for would have refused to go on there but who i work for now would not mind. I would love to see episodes of these not from 2000-2006 where any monkey could have made £££ from property but from 2008-2010 when the arsehole fell out of the market especially people who legally completed on properties from the 3rd qtr to end 2007 that would be interesting!!

You ever been on crimewatch?  Wink
