It's pretty scary when you are expecting a baby (obv not me) as you always have that nagging feeling about things especially as for the past 3 weeks Petra has been flying all over the place with one trip without me and having to take Max and luggage etc with her so when they got back the weekend it was great to see them and get back to family life although Max has a small rash on his skin which he is now having to have cream applied all over 3 times a day in a massage kinda way. He obviously loves this and just lies or sits there whilst we massage him legs and feet then arms torso back and neck and head just gotta hope Petra does not expect the same!!

Monday though I got the call from her that having been back 24 hours she cant remember feeling the baby move  which instantly fills you with negative thoughts and they do recc that if over a 24 hour period you have not felt the baby move then you should contact them so off to the NHS drop in place she went and luckily all is ok and the baby was probably knackered from all the travelling she has been doing and fingers crossed all will be ok.

Day off yesterday so as per a couple of pages ago it's a case of getting Max's new room ready but I'm now at Paintbrush stage having Stripped and sanded the floor so it just needs varnishing (ME), Re-plastered after I stripped the wall paper off (NOT ME), had wardrobes and toy trunk built into various recesses (NOT ME) and now the painting of ceiling and feature coving, picture rails, walls, skirting and then the wardrobes and toy trunk which were fitted by a chippy friend (not Leethefish although I understand he has reasonable rates) before finishing the floor so that's my job list before Xmas and I really need to get it done as there are some decent events I am playing from Boxing day to UKIPT Ediburgh and will post deets in a few days.

Lost £200 last night on Arsenal -1 goal vs Bradford as most on here did and tonight am going to back Bansha Mo in the 8.00 Romford after a text from Barry Neville so if you want a winner just lay that and also am going to do 4 tricasts on the big race at 9.45 doing 3-1-2, 3-2-1, 6-1-2 and 6-2-1 probs £15 TC on each.

Fancied Bansha Mo aswell but was off the pace from start. UL.

I have been uber busy IRL and find that having not posted on here for a day or so I then take 1 day to catch up on all the threads I like reading then miss a day, rinse repeat and it's just taken me 3 hours to catch up at work since doing the same yesterday  Sad

Well the dogs and footie on the posts ^^ were no good and on Thursday I had received the text from Bazza Neville about the horse George Guru running at Kempton and due to being at a meeting in Cambridge that was supposed to finish at 3 giving me time to get on actually finishing at 5pm I missed out on the first winner he has given in about 10 selections.

On the Thursday evening I put £250 on Phil Taylor to win the PDC worlds and then pressed at 9/4 for another £350 on Friday morning but had to visit 3 ladbrokes shops locally as the offer was limited to £100 per customer so could do with him having a decent run and know the TFT thread want Van Gerwen to win but obv cant back him at the price now and think if Taylor brings his "A" game I should be in with a decent shout.

Saturday afternoon I had invested £60 in BTTS to no avail and had a £200 dbl on Wycombe or Draw and Wigan or Draw paying 6/4 which despite Wigan equalising and then bossing they didnt hold and my Dubai balance was lighter, I also met Ant040689 for the first time when after recc'ing the ASPERS Xmas Cracker tournament to him and him thanking me but probs swerving the event he rocks up at my table 2 to my right and due to the fast nature of the tournament and the card room a bit vague on levels  eg we start 20k on 30min clock at 50/100 and then after lvl 1 we played 150/300/25 for 2 hands and in the 2nd hand I dusted off 4k before they realised their mistake and made it 100/200 again and then lvl 3 150/300/25 so was literally in grind mode from start of level 2 n a comp where you really needed a good start.

Obv Ant is golden and sits down and wins 2/3 pots straight away before 5k of added prizes ie Ipads, Beats headphones were handed out and this was done with 1 prize per table with a 4 card omaha flip done and the best hand on each table winning a prize I held QQJ8cc and although we setted up on the turn couldnt find the house and lost to both ends of the straight and faded a pair of Beats Headphones although I have a pair I dont wear anyway.

The very next hand of the comp an older gent raises in EP and I find AKo with 30 bigs and 3b  before Ant slides out a min4 from the BB and after the old guy folds I am never folding in this spot in this comp and my stack and 5b allin and despite holding the  on a 3 diamond board dont improve vs his KK and leave amongst the hoardes in Westfield with my 10% man Steve O'Keefe limping into day2.

Sunday and he is ITM and then built up a stack before it seemed v slow 6 handed and eventually he got Ko'd in 4th for £3500 and £350 to me losing to Ant who obv went onto win (grats btw) and despite never having met him and only spent a short while with him Ant shipped me a couple of hundo $$ via stars as a thx for letting him know about a local tournie with 10k added (top man!!).  I layed Spurs on Sunday to lose me £250 or win £350 and was hoping to lay it back at around 80mins but never got the chance and a late goal meant a further loss on the weekend.

So since then have nitted up and am doing so till the weekend as am going to busy in the run up to xmas at work and in real life with work to do on the house but might try to get to DTD sat evening to see Milligan as Santa...

I love the start of the footie season and as soon as the Racing Post publish their guide put on a few mug punterish accas on season long stuff and 3 out of the last 4 years I have returned well over a grand with my biggest bink paying for a chunk of my wedding as documented early on in the diary.

This year I was lucky enough to have a Rory Mcllroy bink a week ago along with another sports double which gave me a pre season roll of a grand to play with and over the past week I have invested the LOT and am going to post all my accas and selections here for hopefull thin bragging rights come the end of the season.  Posted in the oreder I fancy them the most

Man City over Liverpool
Man Utd over Liverpool
Newcastle over Sunderland
QPR over West Ham
Darren Bent to score more league goals vs S.Long
Cardiff over Bristol City
Hull over Barnsley
Leicester over Forest
Leeds over Barnsley   £400 acca

I overated QPR at the start of the season and also obv could not forsee the D.Bent situation so this one is looking slim unless QPR go on a mad run and D.Bent gets a transfer then we are shot

Chelsea over Liverpool
Cardiff over Forest
Bradford over Northampton
Barnsley to be relegated  £275 acca

Chelsea 7pts good, Cardiff 11 pts good, Bradford 6pts good and Barnsley in the relegation zone atm so this has a strong chance and returns 250% of total outlaid so fingers crossed

Olympiacos to win the greek league
Cardiff over Forest
Reading over Southampton
Rotherham over Fleetwood
Chelsea without Man U and City  £80 Acca

Olympiacos 8pts clear, Cardiff 11 pts clear, Reading 6pts down and looking weak link, Rotherham 4pts up, chelsea in front atm but will be close between Arsenal,Spurs

Peterhead and Queens Park without Rangers
Luton to win the Blue Sq Prem
Barnsley to be relegated  2 x £30 Accas plus a further 2 x £15 accas with
Sheff Utd to win League 1
Southampton to be relegated

Peterhead and Queens Park currently 3rd and 4th 4+5pts behind respectively, Luton 6pts behind with 1 game in hand but very inconsistent, Barnsley in the relegation zone then with the bottom part Sheff Utd 1pt behind and Southampton just out of the relegation zone

Thought I would look at these for the first time in a while and underneath them are comments so far but I hope to have sweats in part 2 definately and 3/4 with a bit of run good.

Part 2

Barnsley to be relegated
MK Dons to be promoted
Jelavic top Everton league scorer
Leicester over Forest  £90 acca

Barnsley in the zone, Mk Dons in the play off zone atm, Jelavic 2 goals down but Fellaini got a ban and poss transfer but unlikely imo, Leicester well clear atm

Malaga EW without Barcelona & R.Madrid
Prem Handicap (Hills)  QPR+37, Everton +27, Reading +46
League 1 Handicap  Sheff Utd Scr, MK Dons +3
6 x £3.50 EW Trebles

Looks like EW part at best would be landed

Prem Handicap   West Ham, Southampton, Reading, Stoke, QPR, Everton  (Laddies)
Champ Handicap  Leicester, Cardiff, Blackpool, Watford, Burnley
League 1 Handicap   Sheff Utd, MK Dons, Preston, Bournemouth, Notts County, Yeovil
League 2 Handicap   Rotherham, Southend, Bradford, Northampton, Torquay, Aldershot
1080 x 4p ew accas + 1080 4p win accas

Place part looks promising and if league 1+2 teams started doing better in second half could be a really good sweat

and finally

Torres Top Chelsea league scorer
Jelavic Top Everton league scorer
Accrington to be relegated
Reading over Southampton
Leicester over Forest
£50 acca

Top 2 parts got chances and Accrington currently doing their best to slide down the league but Reading over Southampton looking the bad part

They will all now be locked away and not looked at again untill the end of November!!!
Although some people will look at it in terms of a grand being layed out I personally find that it stops weekly punting just for the sake of it as you normally have a few sweats and are funking or antifunking different teams enough that you only bet on what you really fancy.  Works for me anyways...
so overall halftime report is that I hope to be collecting a couple of them and have a chance or 2 of a decent bink.

We are in the last couple of days at work now and it's like pulling teeth as I am on my own with the boys using their last few days of annual leave and I have seen precisely 3 people in the office in the past 48 hours, one surveyor who came to give us a bottle of wine and biscuits for referring him some business this year, another client who had a problem transaction that we got through and a chap who came in to tell me we had a spelling mistake on one of our window cards (annoying but good of him to tell us).

Tomorrow is the last day and I shall be closing early as we wont be busy and also heading up to see Milligan in a santa outfit and share a few beers with Blondes at DTD and I thought I would be going up there having had a comma day yesterday but it was not meant to be and I had to settle for winning £200.

The day started with a text from Bazza Neville saying that the puppy in T2 in the 7.40 on Sky was a good pup and 11/8 coral best price so I noted it to watch later on and this was followed by a text saying Chjimes was a strong fancy in the 300 ling, now I run pretty bad as most do with Bazza's tips and reckon if I backed them all just to be in the frame (first3) I would do well so being on my own in the office decided to load £100 onto BF and placed £35 on the win and £65 on the place part and won £33.71 after comm when it finished 3rd so then decided I would punt around on there for the day putting small amounts on horses I thought would frame and had £33 on Topaz Collonges at 1.71 IR, then £55.95 (the profit for the day) on Noble Silk at 1.52 to give me £183.59 to punt on the dogs that evening whilst Petra was working in her mini office after dinner.

The first race was Bazza's tip and £43.59 showed a profit of £48.43 and at this point I looked at the last race of the night and thought Lemon Velvet had a good makeup and with every win I had started to put a bit more on out of the profit. The 8.00 and 8.20 races provided my only losers until the last race with bets on 2 dogs wothout the favs and a token £10 on Cavan Dancer in the 8.20 going down the swanny but parity was resotred with £65.02 on Lil Risky returning a profit of £115.16 then Aero Rebel £40 returning £78 profit.

The 9.10 I backed 2 dogs with £18 on T4 and £11.90 on T3 @ 6.43 to win another £63.50 before backing T2 without the Fav in the 9.25 and another small win leaving me with a liability of £164.82 @ average odds of 4.85 going into the big race where finally my luck ran out and an evening infront of the goggle box earnt a few beer tokens for the weekend.

Today I am going for a short priced double on PSG to win tonight and a dog at Romford later that will be odds on but want to see how the track runs first..

Today I am going for a short priced double on PSG to win tonight and a dog at Romford later that will be odds on but want to see how the track runs first..

I run good as was watching darts and missed the dog which lost so just the single on PSG was landed along with a winner and loser with Dubai where backed BTTS for £150 in the Southend vs Chesterfield match which lost and Laid Blackpool vs Wolves to win 185 so small profit on the night.

Due to the weather I dont like that much today as feel can send matches either way but am having a DOUBLE CHANCE on Everton&Draw and Rotherham&Draw which pays 1.822 with Ladbrokes and my BTTS fancies for the day are Southampton,Birmingham,C Palace and Scunthorpe the more obvious ones Wigan and Peterboro also look good but are not much value at the prices.
