Going to Wimbledon dogs tonight. I am a complete newb. What do you suggest i do to try and maximise my chances of doing well. Any beginner tips? Aside from the obvious of leave it alone!

Sound advice.
Lost 80 pounds. Not the end of the world but wish I saw your advice sooner! 25/1 shot won the big race tonight, had loads of people going mental here with a cheeky punt on that!

The following conversation took place over dinner last night in Malta*
Greg: Started reading that Eso Kral diary today
Vinny: Yeah? What you think?
Greg: It's shit
Vinny: Yeah, I know, I agree
Greg: Can I post it's shit?
Vinny: NO!!
Greg: Why?
Vinny: Cause he will stop taking me out for dinner. Post summit like ' Hi mate, just started reading, and it's awesome' other wise he will know that we have been discussing it, and he will get the hump.
Greg: Sigh, OK Vinny. Another beer?
Vinny: Yeah, cheers.

THE NEXT 2 YEARS
As i have been brutally honest about my past i see no reason to stop now as one of the topics i will go through in a short while has touched a few on here recently.
The next 2 years i kept myself to myself and unfortunately for the degen story lovers i didnt get myself in any holes mainly down to the fact that in my time with Petra she had told me about how hard life was in Slovakia and how until she had come to England she had never even had a Mcdonalds. Petra had made things very clear from the off that she didnt want to be a with a gambler and to have to worry about money and as i was seriously batting out of my league she seemed to change my way of thinking and i started to learn the value of money, yes i was having a punt but nothing that put my normal life at risk but despite the fact i was paying off my debts which at the height of my addiction i had unsecured debts of circa £60'000 all down to gambling!!
It took me 3 1/2 years to pay them all off and i only got one reduction of £1500 on one of them when i settled early after a football win but i did it and now i wanted to try a re-establish contact with my Dad, however he was having none of it and flatly refused any contact despite my brother and one other relative saying they thought it would be good for us. By this time Petra and myself had got engaged and for 6months i tried to contact him by writing even sending him an invite to our Slovak wedding but all i got told was he is not interested and i received a letter saying he would not be attending our wedding.
Then a month later, out of the blue i received a phone call from Dad saying he would like to meet me for lunch if i fancied a drive up so off i went. I dont know why but i had a feeling my Dad had chosen this moment to bring me back into his life for a reason that was soon to be revealed...
