NO SECOND FLAG THIS WEEKEND!
Only 30 runners turned up for the £150 so i kinda wished i had gone to Luton with Vinny but hey ho, managed to chip up from 18k to 27k in first 3 levels by being a POW and then hovered around that figure for the next 6 levels and unfortunately was spot and card dead due to the nature of my table for a crucial period and when we made the final table i was definately one of the shorter stacks but the casino had declared we were finishing at 3am (not the 3am after the clocks have gone back) so into the last level we went and i had 24k at 6/1200/100 and all around me it went raise, re-raise and i looked at 93/82/ blah blah.
Players were taking so much time to make decisions that i had decided to shove if folded to in the last 5 mins to try and get a double throguh as only 4places were paid and on the final hand of the morning it folded to me in the c/o and i shoved my 15k having peeked at the "BELTON" of hearts unfortunately Ian in the BB who had the hand before found ACES and got a caller with TENS found
and my second card was a lowly
. The
in the window gave some hope which was followed by the
and an unfortunate
"GREEKSTEIN"
sorry "GRRENSTEIN" otr sealed my fate.
So the plan is to play 2 satty's this week for the deepstack online then travel up friday dropping off Petra and Maxwell at Luton airport on the way as they are going back to SLovakia for 10days to see her mum and family on the way to DTD.
GL to Andy King who is R8APK on BLONDE and Darren Paradise today in the final and Darren for someone who does not play a massive amount of volume he has a chop of the sunday million and last week took 28k I think from the supersonic and is by far the best player left on the final and would be long odds on to win it if some donkey play by two Wizards forced him to fold
on a
and he would have scooped 65% of the chips in play but in play in was the correct fold as the way the hand played the other two should never be turning over
and
but he is still in there fighting!!

Thanks for the GL Rich.
Managed to luckbox my way to chop it with the K8 guy.
All went off when down to the final three, Ian G had slow played JJ, other guy 62, got there on a 2x2 flop, kicks off when Ian thinks he's won when other guy nodded to say nice hand then turned over his monster! Lots of verbal threathening, with the end line being 'hope you rot in hell!'.......not sure i've ever heard that before in a £150 comp!.......then again it was in Southend! Anyway, can't say for sure if guy did do as Ian suggested as was still trying to stack my chips from an earlier pot........you know me Rich, get a nose bleed when I have more than one stack!
Def agree that Darren was by far the best player left.....but interestingly, he kept saying that he should have called that QQ hand. Might be an interesting one to put on PHA......talking of PHA, really want to ask you how you'd have played my AK hand......I know you're gonna say I butchered it, just genuinely interested how I should have played it. FWIW, I didnt think he could have a Q in his range and therefore could rep the Q or overpair.
Looking forward to my seasonal appearance at DTD this weekend, gonna try two bullets (when required!), so see you Fri. If I manage to nit my way to Sun, fancy going on beers and Dogs on Sat?

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Played my first satty of the month tonight and binked a seat along with Chili
Had a spot nice and early to double up when co raises to 300, Chili flats the sb and we have dem aces at 50/100 so we make it 850 and co jams all in. MBN and all that just needed to hold vs 44 but got lucky 2 tables out with 16 left when down to 10bigs i shove J8o from Hijack and need the 8 otr as the bb found AK from there it was standard just needing to win some blinds here and there.
Gonna play the one tomorrow to see if i can bink my Saturday seat!!
