A POKER TOURNEY WITH ESO, ITS A FUNNY OLD GAME!!
After 2hours sleep and then going to work i wizzed home and got changed and left for Luton at 12.50pm and arrived at 2.05 so missed my sb but with the hour clock no need to stress.
I decided it would be good to keep a running diary of all my hands for yesterday so armed with a roulette slip that all the degens would write down the last 80 numbers to make their selections I started to note every hand i played and really felt I was going to have a deep run in this tourney.
I wont talk about all the folds i made just hands played and wont apologise for the TL;DR but will break it up a bit.
1st level for 45 mins was a grind with just nicking a blind or 2 untill I got moved to balance the tables which was the best thing that could have happened and I was sat next to the infamous Adam Daniel of DTD and Blonde update fame, as I reached the table he was involved in a 4bet pot and folded to the 5 bet jam and looked tilted so when i opened UTG to 3500 at 8/1600/50 with
it was no surprise to see him 3bet to 11k from a stack of 50k and folded back to me with me starting the hand with 42500. We Jammin at this point and he dwell calls it off with a "well lets see if i can get lucky" and flips the mighty
and we hold to double up to just under 100k.
He got Ko'd next hand and apparently is still looking for sponsorship if Blonde can help out!!!
On being sat at this table i note that the second chip leader an American guy who bagged up 192500 betting discs had not showed up yet but they said he was playing cash till 4.30 am so he may have overslept anyway we shall hear more from him later!!
I didnt get involvedin any hand of note till 1500/3000/300 when i raised the button with
and fold to the 3bet from the BB then the very next hand i make the same raise to 6700 and the BB makes it 15k from 78k i shove and he snap folds. My table is a dream as they all raise to much and call my small raises and then fold so the best option is to be active imo and getting some decent holdings helps so when i raise my 3rd consecutive hand with
to 6700 from the hj and pick up both the blinds we see a lovely drawtastic flop of
and i cbet 9800 unfortunately both blinds fold and were chipped up to 145k with 22 left....

Were now opening most spots where its folded to me but lose 14k when opening with
having cbet the flop and folded to a river shove with no pair. A few hands later we open to 7100 utg with
and pick up both blinds seeing a flop of
and after check check we decide to peel and see the turn which comes
and take the pot down with a 12k delayed cbet.
Blinds go through and we make a play to 6700 from the co with
picking up the bb flop comes
and cbet 7300 the BB jams and we fold he shows
MBN. As the blinds are coming back round we make it 7500 utg with
and it folds through and then next hand it folds to the sb who flats and we have
and 2 levels ago we had a conversation about disguised Aces x in the blinds so when he makes it 9k total with 50k back I set him in and he folds. I then fold my sb and we go to the break with 150500.
Blinds now 2000/4000/400 and first orbit back utg+2 jams 35k total I iso raise
and hold vs
and am upto 193000.
The next hand is a tournament defining hand for me as an agro guy who has been nicking the poor American fella who has still not turned up yet chips from utg+2 3 orbits on the trot makes it 9000 and I flat otb with
and we see a flop of
he bets 15k and we flat and see the
he now bets 25k and we flat again to see a river
where he makes a weak looking lead of 25k and i jam for 90k more just over 115k more and he has me just covered before dwell folding.
The very next hand we raise to 9k with
from the c/o and flop
cbet 12k which is called and turn the house with the
he donk leads for 10k which we flat and on the river
he donks for 12k and we make it 30k and he folds so were up to 310000 out of 2.2million with 16 left and 11 paid.
Next orbit utg shoves 42k total and were otb with
and the blinds both having 80k stacks so iso raise to 100k to hold vs
and now have 357k with 14 left..

Since the American guy has not turned up I have not had more than 1 opportunity to get at his stack depsite being the button to his BB but i win one at new blinds of 3000/6000/500 and his 192500 is now 109000. We then raise
from the co and the sb who has played back a few times from the sb makes it 40k and i make a mistake setting him in as he has no fold equity and his
holds so were down to 265k 14 left and average chips 163k.
There was then a raise utg to 12k which was flatted by the button and it seemed pointless to raise call vs the effective stacks so just jammed
from the sb and both folded, the very next hand we raise
to 15k from the button and the SB jams 42k total or at least thats what i thought as the dealer then asked me for 4k more as she forgot to give the bb (now the jammer) change of 4000 so trusting her and feeling its good for the KARMA give the 4k and call holding vs
. KARMA ftw!!
Next orbit were in the BB and the button makes it 17k and we peel the extra 11k with
and the flop rolls off
checking with the intention of CC but he checks and the
turns up BINKETY BINK we check again and he fires a 20k delayed bet and we flat, the river is yes you guessed it I'm running like Usain Bolt
i weakly bet 25k which i smet with a snap jam I snap and insta flip quads to be shown
so were now upto 405k and ITM.
Pretty soon we FT with 445 and the chip lead!!!
