Just read first 20 pages. Awesome read, gl in wembley!

When u have spun up in a casino to let's say 5/6k+, have u always walked out same night or done it in there & then?

Do u still gamble on any of the stuff u mention in the 1st 20 pages, if so is it to the same extent?

This was my day1 message to the team from Day2a of ISPT with the final hand omitted as will post in pha another time

Just thought I would report back on our day2 yesterday.

Sat down to see I was oop to BobaFett which was not great and then everyone sits down and I am also oop to Julien Monfort, the Chinese agro kid who bust me out in the Day1 live last week and is stacked up and to Boba's left a Pokersquad pro so I have had easier tables.

Anyway we find no value hands for 40 mins and at 1/200 there is a raise to 450, a call and Kamal Choraria to my right 3's to 1325 and we have QQ otb so as vvvv early just Flat  (thoughts).  OR flats and now the 1st flatter who has not played a pot since the start makes it 4800 which is called by Kamal and I folded and the OR called. At this point I was happy as had only put in 1325 and on a flop of 10 10 9 4 the OR bet allin against the NIT who folded and he triumphantly showed JJ which I think he thought was winning but was really just bluffing.

I eventually won a series of small pots and was waiting to flop something more than 1pair but chipped up to 65k and then with Kamal telling the table that I always had an Ace or TP I tried to use it to our advantage vs Boba where I opened to 1325 @ 3/600 in MP with A10o and Julien 3's to 2850 which is then cold 4'd by Boba OTB to 5800 and the action is back on me so try to use my image and 5b to 10300 (or similar) with Julien folding and Boba clicking it back to 15700 from circa45k at this point I know he is never folding so we pass and later he tells me he had Aces.  The spot just looked so good for Boba to be bluffing until the 6b.

We got some revenge later on after he opens UTG and we find KK otb and 3b which he calls but we could only get 1 chunky street on KQ98ss board but then with 3 levels to go and having 90k we found ourself with the 2nd best hand and called one street too many vs Julien when I opened CO with A9cc and he calls otb and we see a flop of AJJ which he flatted the Cb we both Ck'd the turn and I c/c the river losing to JK.

The last level was painfull as I got moved with 20mins to go to a table of masses and was oop to Middy but IP to James Mitchell and the French CL but only had 45k and was never going to dust off as Day3 is a different day.  3 hands before the end of the day it folds to me in the SB @6/1200/200 and I raise to 3000 from 44500 with K10ss and Middy makes it 7500 and I fold and then the very next hand I get in a spot that I spoke about to my buddy who I went with and am still not sure what was right so welcome the feedback.

< Omitted final hand to be put up in pha sometime>

So were back in a few hours time with 22bbs and a dream...

Thanks for all the Gl's

I don't play any house games now unless a token few quid when out with mates as I think having lost so much over the years they don't hold the same attraction, I still play on sports, horses but mainly shrewdies judgement's or my own  (in before not as shrewd)

I played 3card poker with Outragous and CraigBetts whilst in Sheffield last weekend and sat with £100 and 2 hours later as the Froch fight started had exactly £100 so cashed out happy and had literally killed time but if I was with someone I would watch them and funk for them to win but get no buzz personally anymore.

How is it going for you? Are you still playing house games?

hey rich
was good catching up with you in Luton Smiley
Also meeting few other blondes was wicked too, it was like a gathering of blondes lol ,celtic and who was the other guy again!? he was on final table with me Wink . some real characters at Gcasino slightly nutty play, the banter makes the game so much more fun. will remember 'Phil'! and the other guys pocket 10's against KK was pretty bad too considering he'd seem to play solid throughout the night.

Ispt could of gone better for us but least we got some hours of poker in Smiley real shame with the lack of runners right and lack of games on too, i really wanted to play yesterday but the games they had on were just ****.

im pretty sure i should still be in bed now lol, ive been up 1hour and got about 3hours sleep. but was worth it, final tabled and with deals not even talked about i went heads up against 'colin' and his railing wife(nice chap). loved the fact we played heads up, usually everytime theres a deal. and got a 2/1 chip stack against him after he flopped a set and decided to check to allow me to hit my flush and pay me off on river too Smiley happy days eventually i went all in pre with 22! eeeekkk he called with k-9 and he missed( that would never happen at dtd right?lol).
thks for letting me know u was playing at gcasino as i prob would not of bothered otherwise Smiley

til the next time Smiley

Will come back to things later but really fancy a horse today

Fig Roll in the 4.35 Naas and have backed it to win @ 4/1 (cannot get on at 9/2) but also double my win part on the place market at 11/10 Ladbrokes as really think this will improve over the 6f and hopefully this will be a stepping stone to a race like "The Albany"* at R.Ascot but cannot see any prices for this yet.

Boba if you are still reading did you really have Aces I mean really?

*sigh posted this then saw racing post where they also talk about "The Albany"

I don't go to the casino's anymore. I will only really be able to tell once I get a score, that will be the test for me. Inside now, I honestly can say I don't want anything to do with the 'gambling' side of things, but won't know for sure until I have proper money again.

I have excluded myself on stars from all cash games, and have restricted myself to play $30 sit n gos maximum. The high stakes plo did it for me this time round, not the casino games. When I was losing on the plo, I then played wcoop, (badly), and lost about 14k on them too, so all in all it was pretty horrific.

As for now, I've only just started to come to terms with it all. I believe I am still good enough to win tournaments, but I am going to have to be patient and grind my ass off to achieve some sort of happiness.

The last bit doesn't make any sense, sorry I am terrible at wording things. What I mean is I am going to have to grind hard at the tables and be patient, then in turn I might get some success.

I just love playing, therefore even If I was to win 2/3k for example, I should still grind it out, so I can keep playing. You can't make money with no money.

I'm sure you will get there  Wink but in the meantime taking any job in the field you would like to get into is probs the easiest way of getting the job you want.

I interview people all the time and if they sat in front of me and said I'm currently working on the bins (not that this is a bad job) to pay my bills but really see myself doing this then my respect for them would go up immediately but on the flip side as I work in sales I also would employ people with degen tendencies as they always need to be earning ££ so are more likely to try to do it.

Yes I agree, I am looking for any old job, I have come to accept that I will have to be in a dead end job with no prospects, doing something I don't want to do, to live day to day.
I have applied for 8 jobs within coral, 1 in paddy power all the very basic aspects of cashier in there shops, not heard anything, numerous jobs within administration, how hard is it to type on a keyboard? and a application for a shop assistant.

Not going to pursue the cooking, I'm 10 years too late for it, why put myself through all the unsociable hours when most pubs and local catering firms use everything out of a packet. 9-5 is the way to go imo, but it's tough to get your foot in the door.

Maybe I've been living in a fantasy land the last couple of years, but I believe I can win tournaments in poker, in the long run, but you need money to play, and you need a job to get money, atm I have neither so like I said, I have to patient and continue to believe.

Rich are you playing the Luton tourney this weekend? It's gtd at 20k I think. What's your view on this time bank thing there considering bringing into Dtd? Judging by reactions of blondes I don't think it'll go ahead though. Hope all is good with you Smiley

Was probably a year ago that I said I'd take a look at your diary. Got round to it this morning and now 15 pages in and addicted... very open and honest and in a lot of spots f****d up. Really enjoying it so far... Seems a far cry from what I've encountered of you on the few occasions we've met around the table.

Looking forward to the next 180 pages!
