If you have a golden chip here just go Mental - no deals
yeah but it obv wont change the dynamic thou
(see earlier posts for ref)
are you you saying i'm an idiot, if so you are correct
no someone said that the golden chip payouts wouldnt change teh dynamic
oh my bad, it obviously didn't but should have.
What I meant was that one of the Golden Chippers didn't need to get busy too early. There were 2 v big stacks and 3 stacks much shorter than him at the time (just after they went down to 8 ) and was still a fair bit of play in it for him. I agree that the short Golden Chipper had nothing to lose, but Ian could afford to carry on playing his game. Him forcing the dynamic at that point with 3 much shorter stacks would have been a classic mistake imo.
Hi Michelle nice to meet you other day.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k. “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi. Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Why should they?
It's the players' money, not DTD's. The tournament entry was €60. Maybe, for some of these people, the money means a hell of a lot.

I don't think they do. DTD used to say that all deals could only be done by chipcount, but when the tournaments got bigger and bigger they soon realised that this policy was unfair.
I see deal making as a pretty important part of tournament poker these days high-stakes. It wouldn't surprise me if nearly all the big tourneys were chopped these days - the only difference here is that we report the deal.
