Tonight I will mostly be cooking dinner whilst watching Get In on the ATR channel.
I like these type of meetings because it suits my game well of trying to find potential improvers and horses that never showed up so well previously but that we know are capable of better. I also really like to be involved in the A/W.
I will give my thoughts on each race and the bets I have had.
4pm - La Capriosa/Riflessione are 2 horses that I have already backed. The former has some decent form lines from 2010 having won 5 races, it looks as if its being lined up for a winter campaign on the AW and may need the run but I like it at the price. The latter has a sweet draw and can come out and get a nice pitch also seems to prefer the polly to fibresand.
4:30 - I can't see Gordon Elliot sending one to wolverhampton on a cold november night that won't like the surface. But at the price I can't be backing it, not sure yet if I want to lay it either. If we do a win in the first race I might just have a speculative lay with an option to back.
5:05 - Hierarch is sliding down the handicap and has a nice draw and a decent claiming female jockey onboard. This is my NB for tonight.
5:35 - Winged Valkyrie might improve for the fitting of blinkers, decent jockey/trainer combo and one I fancy to go well @ 14/1 or round about. I also like Jibouti in this race as well, seems to prefer the AW to turf and looks to have a squeak at the weights.

I know it didn't win but why did Balnagore go from around 15/1 to 30/1 pre race then touch 500/1 in running (On Betfair) whilst the race wasn't even half way through?
Wasn't looking at that horse, but down the back straight Sheriff Hall was a long way clear, and the favourite was travelling very well in 2nd, and getting away from the pack. At that point they were taking most of the market and most of the rest were going big prices.
Probable that Balnagore was at the back of the rest and struggling.

6:40 - its not often I will NAP a maiden, but I had a word for Al Freej from a very reliable source. I am not sure were his info comes from but I'd say that the info he has given to me before has been solid, I have got an absolute maximum bet on at 9/4. I can see its priced up shorter now at 13/8 favourite and if you don't mind getting involved at a price as short as that then its a double up.
7:10 - Monty Fay looks a decent prospect. This horse was prominent in last run for the majority of the race until it started to hang late on and ran out of steam, but its on better terms this time with the 2 that finished in front of it on that occasion and I have a feeling that the trip is more adequate, also has a better draw this time than the fav imo. I have this in a e/w treble with my nab and nb.
7:40 - Change The Subject placed on a few occasions and looked to be an improver for new stable on last start, any further improvement and it will go very close.

I have had a small punt on Maggie Aron in the 4:30. I have layed a few quid on the Elliot horse @ 1.5

I managed to back Priors Gold @ 1.62 in running when it was cruising and the other 2 in front looked like they were going for a right ding dong, also layed Maggie Aron for a few quid when it shortened from 22 into 8.6. Small profit overall in the race.

That wasn't nice watching, can anyone explain why she tried to get right up the rail there? Its pretty dead ground and there was always the chance the door would be shut on her face. Definitely one to look out for next time out.

I was out and about, hadn't seen you tipped it (hierarch), but had backed it at
. Really should have won and as you say, definitely worth keeping an eye on for next time out. PM me if you see it pls, I will do the same if I see it first.
