AlrightJack, trains are not a matter about which you should joke, they have influenced the whole fabric of society, & were a fine example of Victorian Engineering at it's best, particularly ISK & the GWR. And have you ever admired the eighth wonder of the world that is St Pancras Station?

At the Quainton railway centre, near Aylesbury there is upwards of 30 engines in varying stages of renovation together with a number of working locomotives. If you ever get the chance it is a good day out
IF you are ever down on Devon the Exmoor railway between Ilfracombe and Barnstaple has a narrow gauge railway in operation in addition to two monstrous black engines freshly imported from South Africa where they were used on the high veldt. They will cost an arma and a leg to restore but are quite magnificient.

Ironside, thats sounds ok. I don't spend alot of time in tournaments anyway, unless someone I know is running particularly well.
I se the need to seperate results and live reports, but shouldn't we be making more use of the main site for reports and results? then again, i suppose it gets stuff up quick doing it on the forum.
as long as the new webbo tidys up the articles section on the main site that's make my day.
ooops i keep forgetting there is a main site at blonde, bit like the mobs site i only read the forums lol

TightEnd,
I am primarily interested only in GWR stock, do they have any in Aylesbury?
As to Devon, if I am not mistaken, the line you mention was the site of the world's first ever atmospheric railway. This is a fascinating subject, & here is a website which mentions it, well worth a visit.

Ironside. The Main Site has been a bit neglected the last month for technical reasons, (which is why I have majored on the Forum), but it's getting back up to speed now, it's got streaming video & all sorts, & from Monday, if you want to read Tournament Reports, Results & Articles, you will have to go there, because I will not be putting them on the Forum any more.
Kev - FINAL WARNING! As it happens, I have spent many happy days at Kings Cross, even though it's only crappy LMS, but thats not what you were suggesting, now is it?

A big up to AlrightJack for his view (literally & figuratively) on St Pancras, WHAT a buildinig. And the Hotel re-opens soon.
Things have changed around there a bit in the last 20 years, eh?
