shocking ruling, not sure of who Karl is so cant comment on him. But why they allow people like that to rule i'll never know. The rules are set out throughout Grosvenor but it's down to everyones interpretations of the rules as to why we get problems.

It all went downhill after Big Mike left in year one of the GUKPT

Comments appreciated Karl and Neil.

As opinionated as I usually am, I'm not qualified in any way to comment on the rulings so it's good to get opinions from players who have seen it all before.

Pokerrisk's Ming Lee was down to the felt before with 8k, but has scraped his way back to 40k.

Tim Blake still on 42K. Lazarus didn't even come close to this.

Let me also remind anyone who is suprised that this can happen in a tournament with such a big prize that there was an incident in this same event last year.

With around twelve players remaining the dealer mucked the hand of a plyer who was all-in.

My memory of the exact circumstances is hazy but I believe in this situation there were players to act and although this would be a terrible way to be knocked out of a big comp the player had simply not protected theirhand. Obviously the dealer was at fault but the player had the ultimate responsibilty.

In a very dangerous precedent I remember that the player just lost the amount of the original raise and was still in the event.

Maybe someone can tell the story EXACTLY as it happened but I knew then these people could not be relied on to handle this money.

If these kind of mistakes were made with Grosvenor's money in the pit they would be sacked instantly.

That actually sounded like a rubdown - it wasn't! Difficult for me to do anything other than sarcasm as you both know.

I've seen this happen twice in the Vic and both times the four cards, (which had been clearly tabled and were agreed by all), where left out, the rest of the deck shuffled and the hand dealt out.

I cannot for the life of me see why they would make any other ruling. I also cannot understand how we are about to start year 6 of the tour and they can't have consistent rulings among casinos that are owned by the same company (in the same chain). The other ruling from day 1a where the guy says he's calling if you go all-in and then he folds when the guy goes all-in is not a call according to the Vic, but several people on here said that it was declared a call earlier in the year on the tour.

I'm a massive Jeff Leigh fan, but wasn't the point of having him travel round, I thought part of the remit was to ensure consistency.

I personally have attended very few GUKPTs this year because I felt they just weren't listening to me when I offered constructive criticism, or they were listening but nothing ever got done.

Black Belt have put £200,000 in entries into the tour in past years but this year the number was under £30,000. We have given our business to the UKIPT.

Also the ruling yesterday where player A raises, B 3 bets. Player A asks for a count and whilst B is counting his stack the dealer deals the flop. As player A is unable to stop the dealer before the 1st 2 cards of the flop are dealt, his hand is ruled dead
[/b]

This is just  unlucky Karl, the dealer has made a mistake but the TD has followed Grosvenor rules correctly.

From what I saw on the stream, everyone knew the players had QQ and JJ, but couldn't be sure on the suits.  If the QQ and JJ are mucked and back in the middle of the deck, how do you know what suits they are?  Surely you can't just root through the deck and pull out the 1st 2 jacks and queens you find!
