What would you have done if you had both had AK? Or if he had Aces?

I think that once you realise you're on the same table, you should stop looking at his laptop and just play your own so his hands (inc. the A-K) just time out.
this really a weird situation that you wouldn't have thought about beforehand but tbh in future he should sit out at any table that you're both on before leaving as it is what's happened is collusion even though neither of you intended it to be. it's no different from you shouting across the room to him that you've got KK and him folding AK because of that ya that's why I stack off as you both would if playing. sitting out/timing out/ raise folding is all just clearly collusion. But surely timing out is the only thing thats not collusion, cos that is what would happen if i didn't play his tables ya to clarify I think you should only fold pre, IF You are to play his hand then I don't see how you can do anything other than stack off as some were suggesting R/F etc.

Playing from the same ip address and this comes up sounds alarm bells and could lead to a bit of bother. Personally I snap transfer his roll to one of my mums accounts

but you're not timing out because that's what would've happened if you didn't play, if you were going to do that you wouldn't get up and move across the room. you're timing him out because you have a better hand than him which is clearly collusion

He could time out if he'd gone to the loo.

I guess the most ethical thing to do would be to time out his hand no matter what hand he has on that table and leave him timed out on it until he comes back.

Yeh agreed, play his other tables but sit out on the one youre on.

They are fair questions, everyone in this thread seems to just be advocating collusion whilst clearly knowing it's collusion. Is anyone not scummy?
Give me the collusion/scummy speech but honestly, would you really screw a mate over here? Really? IMO doing so is actually worse than breaking the rules!

You're choosing to 'screw' someone by knowingly going against the rules, if everyone is such a dousche as to assume that standard why not screw your own mate?
