This blonde member was born in Nottingham in 1985.

He started playing poker with friends, initially playing £5 sit-and-gos imitating the format used in the pioneering television show Late Night Poker. He continued to play throughout university, becoming president of the university poker society and representing Durham 3 times at the student poker championships.

On leaving university he stayed within poker, taking a temporary job as a copy writer with Betfair Poker, where he was responsible for writing promotional material for the inaugural WSOPE in London. He played a $75 feeder into the $750 weekly satellite to the WSOPE Main Event. After winning both satellites to bag a seat, James finished 9th in the Main Event for over £60,000. This was back in 2007

Since this breakthrough result he has played poker full time, travelling to tournaments worldwide, including cashes in the WSOP, 2nd in Pokerstars Baltic Festival, for €48,500. He has also had success on home soil, with a 2nd place on the GCBPT and a win in the DTD Monthly Deepstack in September '09 for £29,000.

James "skolsuper" Keys

James has over 1,000 posts on blonde. Fiercely intelligent, his contributions are always worth a read

One of these posts started as follows

"Hi all,

Am going to Australia next week and will be taking in the Aussie Millions festival of pokers while I'm there. I'll be playing a bunch of sides, a smidgen of sats, there's a chance of a Main Event in there somewhere and even a slight possibility of some games where I get more than 2 cards, so this could get complicated. However I've got google docs excel and a bit of time on my hands so let's go:"

On page one of this thread, Flushy said "rest" standard and LilDave rather presciently said ""gonna be a millionaire"

James ended up 2nd in the Aussie Millions main event winning over $1 million.

His stakers read like a blonde staking "who's who"

Toby
Flushy
Cos
Tikay
Brammer
Titbeam
DMorgan
Mongy
Camel
Rupert
Eames

I think it is the most successful blonde staking board thread ever

Hence we can forgive him his current attempts to bankrupt Girgy ahead of tomorrow's Monte Carlo

fondly remember playing in university games with him. not so fondly remembered are the 97 million times where he read my hand, declared he had X outs, but was calling anyway because it's funny to tilt me.

absolute legend and deserves everything he's gotten in poker and more.

Andrew, you're doing it all wrong. Flushy didn't send any money either and he ended up 250k richer from it.

Anyway - absolute hero, congrats mr keys!

ah sigh the sweat's over keys! well done chap.

Should add that after the david gore pounding, so tarnished was his confidence in heads up match play, he sort to improve that side of his game and last week in Prague, he won a 1k headsup shootout for several thousand euros. wpwp.
