I think I have met most of the peeps on here and they all deserve their place, they all bring a great deal to the forum and make it such an interesting place to hang out, Nadolig Llawen to you all.

PS Reece is a star

Great thread Dewi, thanks!

No surprise that Reece was the final entry, but its well deserved, especially after the dream trip finally happened this year.

It's a real tribute to blonde that such a wide range of members helped make it happen and it truly does sum up what this place is all about.

I hope Reece, Stacey, Maureen and Darren all have a fantastic Christmas.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Wowzer....

I am not the best at writing up posts and possibly do not always come across how I think in my head I want to but here goes.

To try and explain just how hard the last 7 years have been for our hero is almost impossible. He has come so close on many occasions to losing his battle that I believe most adults would have just given up but not Reece, he
just kept on fighting through it all, many occasions he was so ill he was removed from his transplant list as there was no chance he would survive, at the time we all thought that was it, but he never gave up he just kept
coming back. Maybe, just maybe this was meant to be, as we decided to remove him from the list and seek alternative surgery which was not easy to put him through, hours after hours of very serious op's, hours of sitting waiting for a face to come and tell us how it was going, then seeing him wheeled out into ITU again and again and again. I think another massively hard decision for me personally was to move him from Manchester to Leeds, had this have gone wrong I don't think I could possibly have lived with myself.

Like Tighty says Red & Tikay have been there for us, on the end of the phone when ever I needed them ( even from his holiday he take time out to call, he is chuffing it around the most northern parts of the UK), there are no words big enough to thank them, but also you all have got us here where we are today, whether it be moral support, financial or just taking the time to comment or just read the thread. I am so very lucky to have been given Reece as a Grandson and truly believe that he deserves the No 24 spot but this is not about me it is about Reece, he got the entry.

He has shown how a community comes together to support each other.

Just look at what you Blondes have helped him achieve, I dare not even think where we would be without you lot. He has come shining through, been on a holiday that we never thought he would ever get on and still continues to astound us with his strength.

Seven years later here he is, very strong minded, knows what he wants and will not be talked about on hospital visits, he insists that the specialists talk directly to him, after all like he says, "I am here you know".

On behalf or Reece thank so very much for this Advent entry.

Merry Christmas all. xx

A proper fighter, read this thread for the first time a few months ago, a great read to see everyone rally round time and for everyone involved to have made such a difference. wp everybody!

Also ty Tighty and all of the other contributors to this thread. For someone that only started regularly posting in the last year or so its been a brilliant guided tour through the years of the Blonde forum

Merry Christmas to Reece's family and all the other blondes!

This has been a good read, thank you.  I've always been a lurker more than a poster, but this thread has shown me so much more of Blonde that I didn't know.  Am also glad you didn't focus on just the sick poker players.

Merry Xmas all.

This.

Didn't quite know what to write - I hadn't known about Reece or the family until this morning, but what an incredible story.

Merry Christmas
