Yep, at number four, it sure isn't Darren 'Drainy' Alien.

Rightly considered one of Luton's lesser poker talents, Drainy surged on to the Blonde scene in 2009.

After a quiet beginning, the Kroney's and Stelley's kicked in, and blurry promises of spreadsheet wizardry and updates being made easy ensued.

Not long after, following the dismissal of yours truly from official duties and after a brief interview with Sweaty Terry darn the sauna, Drainy embarked on a Steve McClaren-like stint as manager of the Luton G league.

But after just one update in the first six weeks, he received the dreaded vote of confidence from league headquarters and, in due course, was replaced.

It was then that Drainy decided to switch his attentions to his drinking career in the city.

Summer 2011 saw him spread his time equally between navigating a boat down the St Albans backwaters and building an aviary to give the numerous chaffinches and eagles that populated his back garden a permanent home.

Ambitions for 2012 include trying to climb the ranks to second best poker-playing Alien and drinking more. Sure can be done. Gl sir, gl.

For anyone who hasn't yet seen it, here's Tracey 'Ding' Dell doing something pretty impressive, going on stage and doing a stand-up routine after just one weekend of trainingage.

Still pumped up on adrenaline after her Jo Brand-like efforts, Ding returned to the colonic irrigation shop the following Monday, keen to fuse her new passion with her day job.

In a surprise move, one end of the hosepipe was jammed in the starfishes of five poker players, with the other end attached to a microphone. The results were interesting.

"I 'ate pocket jacks, might start folding them pre-flop," squelched one Luton random after being irrigated to the brim.

Players 2-5, who shall remain nameless, also produced some insightful parps:

"At the end of the day ace king is only ace high, it's not a made hand."

"I put you on ace ten when you raised pre-flop."

"Go all in, most of the time they can't call."

"Aces is just one pair, some people go mad with them."

That's the comedy routine sorted for when the G call comes to appear on the last Thursday of the month then…

Meh, gave it a go but not enough interest in the Lutons scene on here any more.

Fantasy league cancelled unf. Only a dozen teams in, which is nowhere near enough to make it of interest. Not for the want of trying tbf.

Ten Georges Leaping was gonna be epic in the 12 days of Xmas too. Bernard would have loved it. Ho humz. I can but appollagise.
