Oh I know they make their own rules up! In that night the same situation occurred 4 times I think.
2 times the person missed the hand and 2 times they came in on the small blind!

Was the TD involved at any point? Lots of new dealers at Luton so maybe it's a case of experience/not knowing/listening to player TD's!

Played there last week and have a question on a ruling.
The big blind busts and a new player comes to the table and takes that seat. He is then allowed to join that hand and comes straight in on the small blind.
Is this normal/right? Was always under the impression that a player can not join on the small blind?
STDD! So comedy, but doubt you'll find anyone that's surprised by it.

TD was the one who said they could come in on the small blind!
1 dealer was told to let a player join in the small blind and then a little while later (as in like the next level maybe) same thing happend but the dealer said the player couldn't join the small blind!
General chit chat was that rules were made up as they go along etc etc

Love the way players love to mock TDs when they don't know the rules themselves
Players are allowed to be dealt in at a new table as the SB as long as it doesn't result in a player paying the BB twice in a row.
Well done Luton TD good ruling.

I suppose that I shouldn't be surprised that as a result of necromancy, it has only taken a few days for someone to have a pop.
A player can assume any position - small blind, big blind or button. The only position you cannot assume is between the small blind and the button.
Pretty standard, too. But you know, it's "Luton and they make it up."

Morning George.
Had to look
necromancy
up. Thankfully, it was not quite what I thought it was.

Congrats on your new room, which I'm told is quite spiffing, & I hope it's a success. No music in there now, right?
I only heard yesterday that Raj has moved on - what is she doing these days?
Good luck with next week's GUKPT.

That's good to hear, I miss Raj very much. One drawback - perhaps the only one - of absenting myself from Facebook is I lose touch with some folks who I actually like very much.
I still bump into Dena here & there, usually when I go play The Vic GUKPT Omaha sideys. Dena has that rare gift of making everyone feel very special. I always feel great warmth from her, & real eye contact, but I'm sure she does that to everyone. She's a
good person

She has a few contracts with Stars, G and another where she works on various tours, was in Barcelona recently. Also was back at Luton training the new dealers. I would imagine she will be very much in demand, fantastic women and such a great presence. I'm sure she will go on to fantastic things.

That's great news - that sounds like she is a "blow-in" dealer or Floor, a most peculiar expression.
If you see her, give her my warm regards please. Happy memories.
At one time, she had a bad time with her then partner, & then she hooked up with a Dealer at Luton & all was well.
Raj had THE most impressive mean stare, the old "face like thunder", & when she did that staredown, we froze with fear & then melted.

Raj is a member of blonde, cant remember her name.
I remember when she first started managing the card room, she made a decision that was clearly right against me, but I decided to have some 'fun' and argue the point. She then rang the vic to confirm the decision. She returned to tell me once again I was wrong, so I continued to argue. In the end, I said to her, bring me a man to discuss this ridic ruling, and then I'll accept it.
Won't make the mistake of having that sort of fun again

Her blonde alias is "Ruby".
When she spoke to me about decisions & stuff, I used to do that "is there someone in authority round here, a man ideally" thing. She was such a great sport.
