If we already make a decent start before Jan 1, can we change our target?

Not to less overall of course, its just if I manage to shed a couple of pounds between now and then I'd sooner just have my new target to be 13lbs.

Obv if I put on weight, I will increase the target to 16lbs or whatever it is too.
I don't have a problem Barry
My advice would be weigh yourself on jan 1 st and go from there if you want to be 14 s
Then that should be your target.

Milligan

I don't understand the plan to drop to 16st then put 2st of muscle mass back on.

2st of muscle is absolutely insane and to be honest without being a professional body builder pretty much impossible.

If you dropped to 16st then trained hard and got up to 18st I guarantee at least half of that would be fat. You need some slightly more realistic goals.

You'd probably be better off with your own thread running alongside this one as well because your goals are very different to everybody else's.

Also how tall are you? Unless you're about 7ft you will not look anorexic at 16st so I will choose to not believe that.

6'3 but I have a joke big build and when i was 16 stone i did look uber skinny I can assure you of that. Anorexic might be an exaggeration tho. My initial goal is the same as everyone else's, which is to lose 2 stone, but i will just be carrying on obv. Plus this is for 6 months and I plan to carry on a lot longer.

18st was the ceiling I gave myself of the weight I would want to put back on. I don't physically know how much I would weigh once I added the muscle, if its less but i still look big then fine by me. All I know is when i was 16 stone i looked uber skinny and my mate who is an absolute beast but is a couple of inches smaller than me weighs in at 18 stone, so I used him as a guide.

I'm in.

My current weight is somewhere near Milligans.  I think I weight about 24st.  I'd have to check but will put it up on January 1st.

I started last year with the intentions of losing weight and got off to a storming start as i had a prop bet going with a mate and when he never paid up it tilted me somewhat and I slipped back into my old habits too easily.

I'd be looking to lose about 4st by the time i take my summer holiday.  I haven't booked yet but hope to get away during the Euros so mid June.

I'll donate £25 per lb that I miss by.

Have you guys decided on a charity yet?

I'm going to be doing some volunteer work for a thai orphanage. Could be a good one to donate to lads?

Room for a small one??

My goals/fines would be:

Lose 3 stone in 3 months:  £100 fixed penalty for failure

Remain at 3 stone (or better) the next 3 months: £100 fixed penalty for failure

<2 stone at any point in 2012:  £100 penalty
