We should end the thread in 5 months time with the Fatty Olympics, do some 100m, long distance, arm wrestling and whatever else is suggested.

Obv end it with a pie eating contest

Bit of a siiiiiiigh day today.

Weighed in at the gym 23st 4lb/148.1kg which is a loss of 2lb.

Started off on treadmill and after 15 minutes felt my right calf twinge Sad

Went on xtrainer for 30minutes which isn't as hard on the calves.

Did 10minutes on bag then a few bi's tri's and upright rows.

I know I've done a session but felt a poor one compared to troting for and hour on treadmill.

Booked in with trainer tomoz so will do more xtrainer and a boxing sesh.

Probs best to skip running until you have dropped a few stone mate, your always going to be susceptible to picking up injuries running at 23st. Stick to power walking uphill, x trainer and other low impact stuff like your boxing.

Nice one on the loss Girgles.

Obv make sure to stretch properly before and after and fully warm up and down. Imagine your trainer has told you this already. Last thing you want is for a twinge to turn into something really bad.

Any exercise is better than no exercise. Setting a good example imo. X trainer, bike and swimming are the nuts for low impact work.

Had planned to do sprint training with my mate tomorrow! probs just get a take away and veg on the couch now.. easy game.

some people say those upright rows can mash up your shoulders Girgs.

It's weird when I am in a bad mood first thing I wanna do is drink and eat, when I'm in a good mood I normally wanna celebrate with a nice meal and loads of other stuff which is bad for you. When my head is down and I'm just grinding out life I stick to it fine. Moodswings ftl. Breaking the actual Emotional link with food is the hardest part Imo. Well done on staying strong Lee.

On the advice of Barry C I've decided to join you gents in this prop.

My challenge will be slightly different though in that I will actually be trying to gain weight.

I'll do my weigh in first thing in the morning and then decide on my target weight. I suspect I'll be around 15st 4lb.

I'll be looking to gain approximately 1st between now and June. Obviously this could be done easily by just eating burgers but I'm looking at gaining lean weight which means no additional body fat.

Now anybody who's tried this will know it's really difficult. Obviously you guys have the problem of willpower when you have to resist certain foods. My problem is going to more of a physical one as I try to consume enough lean food to increase my weight.

There's also the issue of time. I need to find time to prepare and consume a lot of healthy calories.

No doubt there's going to be some supplementation in there as well as loads of chicken, eggs and minced steak for protein.

I won't need to be scared of carbs so bread, pittas, rice and pasta won't be heavily avoided.

I don't eat anything particularly unhealthy and I train hard + walk 3 or 4 miles a day so the occasional curry, pizza, kebab or 15 pints won't be a problem.

I'm not sure about penalties, I'll have to have a think. I think this is going to be very difficult so I don't want to be too hard on myself.

I'd just like to add that I hope all you guys are happy with me joining in. I promise it's not my intention to give rubs or anything by telling you how much I'm eating whilst you're having to restrict.

I won't be posting endless list involving cake, chocolates, biscuits, crisps, pies, kebabs etc....

My meals will generally be healthy with a good mix of carbs and protein whilst maintaining low fat.

Hopefully you'll get something out of it by seeing how much I'll be consuming whilst struggling to gain weight.

It's all about what you eat and when you eat it so hopefully some of you may pick up a few tips along the way that may help.

I don't mind personally. Will be good to see recipe ideas etc. Interesting to see how your weight gain goes as I reckon a few of us could put a stone on over a weekend. obv not the type of weight you would want to put on though.  Reminds me of when i did a walkers crisp prop..
