No added sugar squash is still full of sugar Wink

The one that's sat in front of me has 0.1g of carbohydrate per 100ml.  That's hardly full of sugar!  So a pint of my no-added sugar squash has 0.57g of sugar = about a tenth of a tea-spoon full.

Compared to Ribena, which when made up to 100ml in the same way contains 10.6g of carbohydrate (all sugar). A pint of Ribena has about 60g of sugar = about 12 tea-spoons full.

The fresh orange juice that I'm having now has 10g of sugar per 100ml, so has as much sugar as Ribena.

Providing "not feeling good" isnt any kind of kidney or liver function type issue, You can probably expect to feel "in & out" ropey for the next week or so. But trust me, after a fortnight of this new regime you will feel full of energy and vigour! Just look forward to that!

I like to go out for a quick 15 minute walk when I feel like that, it helps to clear the mind

1 week in. I had two fast days at the start of 500 cals each day, eating nutritionally fortified water shakes. Then I had 3 feast days and a further two fast days. I had eaten only 250 cals on the fast days as I had been feeling bloated from the amount I had eaten the day before.

I know for a fact I am taking the piss on the feast days and i am not getting enough nutrients in at all, and I think my body snapped last night. Ordered the 3rd takeaway of the week and got violently sick from it, and feel completely drained now as I start my fast day.

I think this may be my body trying to get used to the shock of eating so many less calories a week, and also it not being quite sure what is going on when i feed myself utter crap after a fast.

This is definitely a wake up call. I will be continuing to fast every other day, but on the day when i can eat as many calories as I want I will be eating only healthy foods, and getting a balance at that too. With the exception of going out for dinner, but in this case I will be cutting down where possible.

Enjoying my pain now as I think I am at the start of a permanent change around in my health. Will keep posting on here, with updates!

Three days in, Rich, & you have held the line - this is tremendous.

You really have got through THE most important part - getting started.

This weekend is SO important, get through that & you are home & hosed. This weekend really could change your life.

Good luck.

Sounds good Rich, but not sure about the French Toast. Not the healthiest of snacks and could undo a lot of the hard work you've put in.

It's 126 calories and 3.6g fat per slice

I have one slice

Not a fan of ryvita and typically struggle a bit evenings, if in and trying to avoid white bread (have one slice, and the green light to binge is on!), biscuits etc

ryvita of course is much better 27 cals and 0.1g fat

So, thats why. I am sure there is a better way of getting through a tough evening!

Funnily enough I find poker really helps channel the mind to not think about anything else when playing online. So immersing yourself into work, or a hobby would really help. I just get the urges more when the break is on and its 5 mins to the hour! Smiley

That's far lower than I expected.  Would have thought it'd be at least double that, doesn't sound too bad then.
