Kirilenko destroys my Kvitova 2-0 bet.
She should have toughed it out.

Cirstea might retire.
I hope we've all got our money with a non-voiding bookmaker.
I got mine with Coral so I'm all right. Smiley

Sabine Lisicki - grrrrrrrrr.
Had her -2.5 to win.
She played woefully to lose the first set 6-2 so I thought it was all over.
Recovered her game during the second set and served with match points at 5-1 in the third to bring home my bet.
Then decided to lose that game and win the next.

Women, eh?

Tis infuriating when that happens.

Tipsarevic @ evens v Gasquet (4 units) LOST - 4 units
Total games over 40.5 @ evens (3 units) LOST  - 3 units
Benneteau @ 11/10 v Nishikori (5 units) LOST  - 5 units
Total games over 40.5 @ evens (3 units) WON + 3 units
Errani @ 5/6 v Cirstea @ (3 units) WON + 2.29 units

- 6.71

Expected more from Tipsarevic, but hey ho. Benneteau went a set up and then lost two tie-breakers in a row and once that happened I knew it was over.

Adding in-play: Murray - 9.5 games @ 11/10 (5 units) 1-1* 15-40

Sorry if its a dodgy question, but are you ever tempted scrap the pre-game bets and just stick to in-play? You seem to have phenominal success on these ones!

Yeah most definitely. I will resolve to go back and check but imagine I'm a fairly small winner with in-play bets, not 100% sure on that. To be fair, the Murray and Williams bets were only in-play as I had only just got up and the matches had literally just started. Had I been awake in time they'd have been made pre-match.

I can definitely make more money betting in-play. A good example of this was the Almagro - Wawrinka match. For whatever reason the market was pricing the game up really badly, making Almagro a 1.84 favourite at a set up and 3-2 on serve when he clearly should have been shorter. The rallies were being won and lost on his racquet, Wawrinka just wasn't in the match at all so I lumped on Almagro at 3/1 to win 3-0 and he thankfully did. The biggest downside to it is you have to watch the matches and actually have the time to do so. Was able to do that for a while, but have started my new job so I can't do it as much.

I also bet, for the most part, bet on the underdog taking bigger prices that are evens and above or very close to it. You'll always get swings when you do that.

Hope that makes sense.

Cheers for the reply!

Yeah I guess it is all about having the time. If you are watching a game, and you can get a sense of how the players are playing regardless of the score I guess you can have a big edge on the people who purely play by the numbers.

You would need a pretty good knowledge of all the players though, which is a big problem for me Smiley   So i'll stick to copying your bets on the games I watch, adds a bit of excitement!

As I lost one my biggest sports bets ever when Hewitt qualified for the 3rd round, I feel weird going in again heavily against him, but it honestly feels like having kings, running into aces, then picking up kings again and sticking it all in not worrying against aces.

I could be wrong of course, in which case I'm not gonna be happy I wrote this, but surely surely surely 3-0, covered by 3-1, Raonic vs Hewitt, is a lock tonight?

Apparently not.
