If you really like airport lounges, or 760 BA tier points, how about Vegas return for £964 - in business. Masochists only need apply.

Unbelievable that anyone would take those flight combo's let alone waste time writing about them.

Oh I don't know. If I lived near Inverness and I had a business trip to the West Coast coming up and I was travelling over a weekend and I needed the tier points to make Gold then I might consider it for 2 minutes and then decide 'bugger that!'  Cheesy

Just off out, but will have a look when I get back this afternoon.

Casino Royale has no resort fees, though  🙄

Yes, that was the main criteria for that individual, we explained it was shit, but he said ...

Pity the fool who pays resort fees

Pity the fool indeed Cheesy

If anyone has time to search for hotel deals trying to add a friend to our trip.

So far we have people in the Casino Royale (ROFL), Linq and Aria.

Check in 27/02 Check out 03/03

We seem to be stuck around Linq, MGM, Ballys, Harrah's all coming out around £400 inc tax and RF

Anything else worth looking at?

Are you going to be gambling much, Stu?

Silly question for you, but what about the person in this room?

I will, but I am all sorted in the Aria.

Person in said room probably not.

He will most likely be having a big night out on the Wednesday when we arrive and then hiding in his room ordering red wine on room service until we leave.

Looked for a RSRW rate but couldn't find one.

I guessed you were in the Aria, as that's the one I'd have out of all of those Cheesy

https://www.holidayusa.co.uk/

I had a quick look there, and they've got a few all betweem £250-350 & RF, but you're not getting any backend comps there.

I've used them for Cosmo the last 2 years, and they are the old lowcostusa mob.

If he's going to be moping about in the room a bit, I'd probably take Ballys, and then he's right by all the cheap eats places in the new shopping area.

I'll let Mark come back with the usa prices... using codes I can get the following with MGM  (Harrahs only have very short dated codes up right now)

Excalibur £363 (I paid a little extra not to get the 2 free buffets on this one  Roll Eyes  )

MGM £419

Mirage £504

All RF+tax incl

In other words, £400 seems fair if you like the hotel+location

I'd prob go with Linq £332 + RF and be in same hotel as one of the others, or Ballys  £313 + RF.

If they book and don't go it's gg, though.

Or he could book a Harrahs room direct with Caesars, and have optional cancellation until the day before.

Surely the best bet for this guy would be to stay off strip - The Gold Coast (for example) is a $10 Uber away from everywhere and has no Resort Tax, the restaurants are both very good and very cheap by Strip standards

Spend $200 in cab fares to save paying a resort fee Grin

I took that as tongue in cheek, and GC actually charge $25 a night resort fees anyway Smiley

Ah okay. I’m too gullible, obv.

Gold Coast: Bastards, eh? (The food’s excellent, though, if you choose the right spots - Ping Pang Pong - and you’ll save a fortune too)
The Orleans have a resort fee too?

He might hole up, but when you're there for four days, it would be silly to pay the same price to hole up off the strip.

I've never stayed there, but ate at PPP a few years ago, and they've got a decent steakhouse after their last refurb, too.

Yeah, all Boyd properties charge one now, and from what I've read elsewhere, they've absolutely decimated their players club recently.

Resort fees are much ado about nothing, and you're better off just counting the price of the room.
