Pretty sure you get a refund, but you lose your fees.

I remember when it was over 2 to the pound! Until it's not fun, it's worth it

Playing in a couple of small buy-in events at the world series and wondered whether I should fill in tax forms in advance to guard against a percentage of any - hugely unlikely - winnings being withheld? Online advice isn't entirely clear - can anyone advise, please?

WSOP staff will do your ITIN for you, if required. Think it's probably too late to get it sorted yourself beforehand, anyway.

Yeah - As long as you don't play at the Golden Nugget, the casino staff at every casino should sort it out for you. Good luck!

Yeah - As long as you don't play at the Golden Nugget, the casino staff at every casino should sort it out for you. Good luck! This, definitely don't play at the GN without an ITIN. Took me about 18 months and £300-£400 to sort out. I eventually got a refund from the IRS, but only after an appeal. Then it turns out the co-operative bank don't take dollar checks and LBG are terrible at taking them too.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

Why I'm swerving the Nugget this year, even though their main is a good comp, and I have an ITIN now. They don't even sort it in the main casino, as my old man found out when he hit a $2k win on the slots. Had to go to London and meet someone at Waterloo to sort all the paperwork out to claim it back.

Place is crammed. Never seen anything like it. Two-hour queue to get in a $250 PH event and massive lists for cash games everywhere.

If you can't reg the night before, just get your arse to the casino more than 30 mins before the start time

11.50 I got there! A full 10mins before kick-off.
Wouldn't have made any difference apparently. Registration kiosk was open 7am-3am yesterday and the line was rarely shorter than two hours. 9am and 1am the best times.

I've registered for the first two WSOP comps I'm playing already, so hopefully the Fast Trac isn't too manic all day/night.
