Gona be my first wsop. Found the stuff pretty useful.
Coupla other things, with regards to getting funds out there. Is it best to take cash $$ with me, if so how much is allowed (if there is a limit at the airport). Can i use visa cards at the cashier there?
Thanks man

$10K without needing to declare. Over $10K you need to declare on form you get for immigration. If you're spendiing lots more casino cage wire trfr might be easier

First time I flew direct to Vegas with my little un we got put straight through to the crew lane at immigration. Last year when I went they let a parent with a 12 yr old go to the front but not me with my 4 year old, we were almost right at the back too. Took forever to get through.
If you are in economy, look at your booking in advance on their seat map and move seats to nearer the exit. The best seats are 21-23 (in terms of getting off the plane first at least, as they have to let you off to let the Upper passengers off behind you) and then row 25+ If your seat assignment is more like 65 than 25, then yes, you are in for one bastard of a wait in immigration ~ but it is easily avoided.
That gets you through immigration, obv not much you can do about the luggage
Yeah, kinda got stuck for that flight as 4 seats together were only available near the back of plane. Did think we would get whisked through by airport staff like last time but just didn't happen.
Went with friend a year ago and had row 23. Meant sod all when luggage was literally the last out, sigh.
just booked to go in a couple of weeks with family and got seats right at the back. Obv plane virtually full so can't change it. Mrs gonna try and blag diff seats though, blaming travel sickness lol

Yeah nothing more tilting than getting there and being caught in a massive queue. Like I said anyone going out on the 22nd let me know if you want a freeroll at security/immigration etc.
I'll say we're all travelling together, I wait on the plane until last but then they'll just bowl me straight through everything and last couple times they even flagged me down a cab too

Got Flights from Manchester to Atlanta to Vegas on 11th September 2012.
I have 1.5 hrs in Atlanta Airport. Is this enough time??
Flight is with Delta and only £520. is this okay?

It's about as little time as I'd like for a connecting flight, particularly with an Atlantic crossing first. However, if there's a delay then I'd expect Delta to put you on an alternative flight. Might be worth checking with them beforehand. However, if it's an itinerary that you can find directly on their website then I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Price looks fine. I've just been searching for April and some connecting flights came up as low as £415 so it's in the right ballpark.
One thing I would think about is whether you'll get caught up in any additional security checks, given the date of the flight. Not sure if they take any additional precautions on the anniversary date.

Very tight imo. Obv any delay on the flight to ATL is curtains. It would also require you to make sure you got a near-exit seat to get into the immigration Q rapido (If other international flight arrivals got there just before you -- gg also) You then need to collect your baggage and re-check in for the 2nd leg, and get through security too.
IMO - it is quite likely you miss the internal as it is quite a lot of elements to fade ^^ that can go wrong. In your favour, everything seems pretty relaxed on internal flights and they will accept luggage at the check-in very close to the off.
If you aren't that worried about missing the internal (i.e. you just wait for the next flight behind it) I have done this before and not been charged. Obv if there is only 1 flight a day or you are looking to get the last flight of the day, you might want to leave a bit more time for the connection.

As Simon said, very tight if you any delays whatsoever. I did have a 2 hour Q at dallas once and missed the connecting but AA had loads of flights to Vegas and just put us on the next one an hour later.
From recall security was very quick at Atlanta. Delta defo one of the better US carriers IMO

Took 90 minutes getting through Immigration in ATL in 2005. My connection to LV was timed for 4 hours and I wouldn't be happy without that sort of "wiggle room" especially in view of the "date" you're flying?
