Seems decent enough, I think the Manchester flights with Virgin were never lower than £700 this year. That will probably be the EDC 2013 at a guess, it's just happened this year and is basically a massive rave over the weekend.

I wouldn't worry too much about hotels this early anyway, you can just keep checking as you go along and then book any good deals you see.

flights with thomas cook

I've no experience with them, but a couple of my friends are flying out with them Wednesday so I can let you know what they thought on Friday when I get there. They only fly Wed-Wed at present, with Virgin you have the choice of Thursday or Sunday making it possible to have a bit of flexibility with time spent instead of 1 week or 2 weeks.

That's good then and definitely a lot better than it worked out for the lads I'm meeting up with.

What hotel are you looking at, or what kind of budget are you working with and what are your exact dates if you know them?

The price can vary massively dependent on dates and what's going on in Vegas at the time. You can get rooms from £20 a night upwards dependent on the resort.

I wouldn't worry about the hotel this far in advance, leave it a while and then start looking late in the year. Rates fluctuate daily and even over the last month or so have moved over 10 cents. This site  http://travelmoney.moneysavingexpert.com/holiday-money/#results will tell you the best deals available to you for buying money.

Any news on what the Thomas cook flights were like?  They're a fair bit cheaper than virgin but not sure about luggage allowances, in flight entertainment , meals etc.

Cheers

They charge extra for any hold luggage, meals and preferred seat.  Also always check the time of the flight as 3 or 4 times a year the flight stops in Glasgow to pick up.

Some mates I'm meeting there are flying out with them Wednesday, I'll ask about their flight and relay the info here
