Has anyone used Expedia to book Vegas with?

Just done a search and 7 days @ Harrah's including flight comes in at £950 (Virgin Atlantic Direct 17 - 24 March next year) is this reasonable?

Booking them separate with Virign and Harrah's is more.  How come Expedia can do it cheaper?

Never been to Vegas before but this looks ok to me.  Thoughts?

Looks ok, you might just want to check direct with the hotel too for reference.

I just looked and I make the current cost about £983 - that difference could easily be done from Expedia hedging against currency changes.

They also offer $25 off for people who have total rewards cards and you could save £40 just by changing the dates of the flights - it's not necessarily a bad price, but it's not particularly a bargain either

Occasionally you can scoop some very nice deals through third party sites and I myself used lowcostusa for part of my stay as it was cheaper than going direct.

Harrahs price match, so if you can find the room cheaper than their price anywhere they will cut theirs to match and you still have the ability to gain comps through play.

The only thing I advise generally is booking flights early if possible as they generally go up, this obviously is not the case when there is a sale on like last month.

Book it now ldo (assuming you are talking about Harrahs website and not some 3rd party, and there are standard 48hr cancel policy)  If the price goes down, you cancel and re-book.  If it goes up, you are locked in.

Vegas prices will vary like that. If there is a big convention or LV event on, prices spike.  your choices are:

Book it and keep an eye on the rates and adjust later, leave it and see what happens, or check other hotels for the expensive days and consider staying at 2 places (or just staying at the other place for the duration)

There is no real point in doing the middle option, so you may as well decide on the first or last.

Personally, I'd look elsewhere as I couldn't hand over $220 for a night at the Flamingo without a shotgun to my head.

$220 at Flamingo would probably hurt less than $150 at IP, not much granted Cheesy

I'd be tempted to hit check out the Golden Nugget for a couple nights, it will no doubt be cheaper than that and I personally like it downtown.

If you are happy with that price and can afford it just book it and forget about looking at any other prices between now and then. Its really not worth sweating it unless you're a real nit.

My mrs wants to go to Vegas for her 30th.  I had a few year to get funds together as its not till 2014.

I'd like to be able to start paying towards it just now so I don't spunk the money away do you guys know if there is any company I could do this through so that I could pay X to it whenever I had the spare cash.  I'd like to make it fairly special.  In my previous trips I have stayed in pretty much basic places and flown Thomas Cook charter flights so not sure of best way to do this.

If those are the 2 expensive nights at Flamingo it looks like a no brainer to me....  I prefer the Nugget to the strip after staying there for 12 days this summer and I generally stay at the Palazzo every year.
