Worked for us last year at airport.  We booked liked the 2nd or 3rd grade up and managed to get a nice big Jeep even though plenty of our price range there.   Dont do it at the desk do it to the garage guy

Perfect example of YMMV.  The guy I asked in the garage was "man I'd really like to but it is all scanned now and I can't do it..."

As for all questions on $20 tricks, the answer is "can't hurt to ask"

Couple of my mates hired a Mustang convertible for a day trip and they said it was brilliant!

I've no experience whatsoever with cars in Vegas, but scooters and blagging returns when you have smashed them up I'm your man Wink

I always say  just flick it in when you're on holiday if it's not that much more!

Used Dollar last few trips, cheap no gripes with cars (last year got one with 30 miles on the clock) and relatively swift service. Got a 2 door Chevvy for 13 days this trip (11 March) for £280 edit £228 actually Smiley

Good to know that they're ok but my dreams have been dashed somewhat, just noticed an Est Grand Total button

Weekly Rate*
$302.27
Total Base Rate *
$513.42
U.S. DOLLAR (USD)

  Est. Grand Total
Airport Access Fee  $54.19
Facility Charge  $45.00
Rental Tax  $76.93
State Tax  $51.92
Vehicle License Fee  $28.44
Total Est. Mandatory Charges  $256.48
Est. Grand Total  $769.90

Good to hide the extra $256.  May have a rethink, thought they were cheap.

I also booked through rentalcars.com and when I picked the car up at LAX it was at Dollar and there wasn't any hidden extras.

I've been using www.carhire3000.com you get a pre-paid voucher, no hidden extras, very little attempt at an upsell.  usually ends up being with Dollar, but other companies sometimes used, and have never been able to get Dollar to get anywhere near the price directly.

As always, I like to check these things out Smiley  Looks like carhire3000 and rentalcars is the same thing.  Not sure of which owns the other or whatever, but same booking engine and same price.

Once in Vegas actually, they were fine apart from the fact they were clearly the cheapest price online for that day so the line when I got there was massive and it took over half an hour in the queue.

Oh and carrentals.co.uk is a price comparison site which has all of the above suggestions. Fwiw with car hire it is nearly always best to hold off as long as possible and book the day or 2 before you fly unless there is a really good offer going.

Morning Gents.

Apologies if I have missed it, but in the light of the WSOP Schedule being released, have Binions, Golden Nugget, Venetian etc released their WSOP-time Schedules yet, please?

I'm unsure if I shall attend this year, though I'm hoping to, very much, but if I do go, I will ONLY play 4 card variants, so that is my only interest.

TIA.
