Just a quick word to the wise on rentals like that... be VERY careful that you are dealing with the right people.  I've heard quite a few scams, where you turn up and the property doesn't exist/already got sold/other reason why they weren't legally allowed to rent it to you, or you move in and 3 days later everything gets stolen.

Think Keys and the lads here got tucked up a couple years back, and 2p2 is always full of threads around the WSOP.

Never interested me in the slightest for the amount of time I spend there, but I can understand the positives for people there to put in serious graft.

I know that Paul had a house last year, so would imagine his contact is pretty solid and should be able to help.

Yeah know its tricky but going for such a long time and think it would get annoying sharing a room for that long so this by far the most cost effective option.

Did rent one a couple of years back and had no issues.

Just looking at sorting out a Virgin Credit Card to book my flights on.

Any advice on which card to get Black or White?

Black comes with £140 fee a year and i can hit all the spending creteria it appears that there are more than £140~ of benifits and therefore it is worth it?

Black if you meet the spending criteria, AINEC.

You can get someone to refer you (  ) and  get extra miles (definitely for the referer, possibly for both) as well.

The Vegas spreadsheet is starting to take shape.  The guy who does it said on 2p2 he will add the rest as soon as they are available.

Paul at Binions said they would have something soon, but I don't think Caesars is doing anything this year.

When I was there in January there was talk of Caesars card room closing / being moved from its current location ,to give the night club more room !!!
Which in my opinion would be a tragedy

What's the best way of booking two separate hotels as part of your trip?

I'm looking at about 12-14 nights and will likely want to spend about half of the trip each in two places. Is there a particularly good way of doing this beyond the obvious of selecting one hotel and paying and selecting a second hotel and paying?

For instance, is it possible to combine the flights with one of them for a saving?

I have some Virgin vouchers (jokes on your own time, please) which would go nicely with the flights. Is it possible to use them if booking through a third party site, or might I be better off booking economy and paying for the upgrade at check in (am hoping to go PE, particularly out)?

Id guess choosing the cheaper one to overlap a weekend would help rather than paying more at the more expensive hotel. Other than that i have no tips.

If your looking for cost saving check out of a hotel at 10am do an all day/nighter and then you can save 1 nights hotel costs Wink even better if you do it over a weekend and can get late checkout early checking for free!

Any single posts with more questions about?

Wink

When I stayed on the strip, I would always have a couple hotels, but I've never had any of the vouchers you speak of.

You can usually select the dates you require your hotel, if you're booking flight/hotel with the 3rd party site, and then add the other nights yourself separately.

Can't see you'd be able to use your vouchers going that way though, so I would hazard a guess you're best off just booking the flights with your vouchers, and then booking the hotels separately at the best price available.

Regarding flying PE, surely it's best to fly economy on the way out when morale is at its highest?

Even when i've not done my bollocks, I'm still miserable on the way home... Whereas on the way out I would happily sit on the floor!

Didn't even know that PH had a proper poker room, but will keep an eye out for anything no 2p2.

PE gets off the plane earlier and last time I went that way it saved a good hour in customs. Last thing I want after a two hour journey to the airport, a two hour wait at the airport and an eleven hour flight is another two hours in a queue.

Also, legroom ftw. Fly out PE and then you can always upgrade to Upper on the way back with your winnings. Haven't been able to do that one, yet. Must be due...

Smiley

I'm either more balla or less brave than you. Possibly both.
