Nice posts Marky & Simon - very useful stuff!
Does anyone know the etiquette with tipping when going into clubs? Also, who to tip to get the best deal/service etc.
Strip club ? Or night club ?

Not been to a club for a few years, but from memory we chucked the host $100 for sorting everything out, and security a drink as well, so that you get a steady supply of bottle rats through the night.
Lil' Dave or someone might be able to add some more insight if anything has changed
.
**** you Marky, why did you not suggest me as the best one to add insight into Vegas nightlife?
You ever seen Hoover Dam at night? Thought not. Rest my case.

I am planning on going for the 2 weeks of the WSOP this year May 27th-June 11th and while I have plenty of experience of staying in your bog standard hotel room on the strip I want something a bit different this time.
I am looking for somewhere with some form of kitchenette, so I can make myself some cereal in the morning etc. A place with gym access would be good as well, as I have actually managed to do some regular exercise so far this year but I am not going to want to start running outside in the Vegas summer. Budget is probably mid range, anything under $100/day (inc resort fee) would be good.
I will have a car so being massively close to the RIO/Strip is not a necessity. Any flight/hotel deals probs aren't going to work as I plan to do a mini holiday beforehand doing Iceland and New York.
I have had a quick look and am pretty experienced in travelling and booking hotels etc but this seems a bit daunting at first glance. So would appreciate any suggestions for what places I should be looking at.

We'll take the Rush Lounge by storm this summer, Tikay
@ Longy
I'd say Vdara would be perfect, but I haven't had a look at the prices, and it may be a touch more expensive than $100 a day.

Think you'll be lucky to get anywhere bar the Jockey Club for less than $100/day including resort fee with a kitchenette.
Only other places I can think of apart from Vdara are Trump and Elara.

If you dont mind a bit further off strip if your driving but its "Rio" side i would imagine 10-15 mins drive max.

2 more potential options you could try (I don't think anyone has mentioned them yet)
1. Signature at MGM
2. Airbnb.com

Can someone help me out? My step dad is going to Vegas on the 11th June for 2 weeks with some friends and they are looking for some affordable accommodation. All they require is 3 bedrooms and that it isn't too far from the strip. Anything extra is a bonus but they are really looking to economise on the accommodation as they don't really sleep much!

Ping me on Skype Mark if you want some ideas, but I'd definitely check out Hotwire for very good prices on Vdara and Trump and lowcostusa is pretty good for Vdara atm.

EDC is on the weekend before they come home, so most places are ridiculously expensive, however, I had a quick look on Trivago and there are some options ~£40 a night there.
Do they all want to share, or would they be open to splitting 2 rooms between 3 and spoofing to see who luckboxes their own room?

No, they are all snoring bastards that all want their own room. Told him to look at trivago for now. Forgot how frustrating it is to find the right house.

Haha, I can't understand anyone wanting to share in Vegas, but it's always polite to ask the question.
I had only looked at hotels, but it looked like costing somewhere around £600pp for the 2 weeks they're in town.
