Can get Aria for 7 nights on 19th September and Flights from Edinburgh via Gatwick for £2200 for 2.

We also get $40 per day to spend on Food and Drinks

Couple of Questions.
1. That a reasonable deal
2. Is the Aria decent
3. How do they give you the $40 is it a card.

Thanks

1. I would say reasonable but not amazing. Aria standard rate is about $200 per night but you can get it cheaper. So assuming RF is not included your paying £550 each for the flight which isnt bad as long as its direct.
2. As Marky said it's great, one of the best.
3. It will be RC that will either apply to Aria or any MGM restaraunt/bar. You have to charge applicable spend to your room each day and they will credit $40 off each day if you have. $40 wont get you very far in the Aria, but it's still a nice touch.

Aria is fab, Forth. Really nice location. One of the perks is it's accessed off strip by car, so, when you get a taxi on a Friday night (when half of Los Angeles turns up for the weekend), you don't have to sit in traffic. You also have the little walk to Vdara through to Bellagio.

Treat the $40 credit as a resort fee voucher. Eat breakfast in MGM properties and have an ice cream or pastry in the Jean-Phillippe patisserie and a drink that isn't in front of a slot machine and that'll do you easily.

On the Sunday, go to Westgate for the NFL games. Need to be there before 9am to get a seat, which seems incredible, given the size of it. You won't regret the decision.

They sell 8.2% beer in the lobby bar.

Haha, I've only just got the hang of it, Matt.

I've got 9 nights in here in June for  just under $500

Then 5 nights at most likely Wynn or Cosmo which will be comped.

Then a week here for $400 ($50 of which is so I can raid the VIP Lounge for water/beer in the day)

Nip off to Palazzo for 3 comped nights, and finally finish here for the last 4 nights free

Get $100 RC & $75 FP at each of Nomad/Luxor/MGM, too.

Gallagher's is one of my favourite steakhouses in Vegas, too.

Stu's the one who figured it all out to be fair. I just send him monies and turn up for my lift to the airport.

I really couldn't believe what we got comp'd at NYNY between us. After our previous trip to the Aria we both had some decent offers on the mlife website. We (Stu) emailed one of the hosts at NYNY and they let us combine our comps for a free players suite for 5 nights, no resort fees and $150 of resort credit. At the end of the trip we'd gambled enough to get the free meal at Gallaghers and late check out included as well.

I never realised how much they'd give you if you just ask. If you've had a bad run it really takes the sting out of it if you get a few freebies. I'm not a huge gambler by any means so I can only imagine what some people must get.

I think the most important thing is to charge a decent amount to your room so they have something to comp off against. Obviously try to keep your main gambling to one resort and ALWAYS hand your card over. At the end of your trip go to see the hosts and just ask what you can get. The worst case is they say nothing but unless you don't touch the tables at all that's highly unlikely.

Amazing mate. Do you gamble a fair bit then?

One thing Stu and I were wondering was how much we could possibly get downtown? We gambled quite a lot at the golden gate so I'd imagine a few nights wouldn't be too hard to come by.

I wouldn't be doing a 'Marky month' but 2/3 nights downtown and 4/5 nights on the strip would be fun.

The whole Vegas thing has always been really expensive for me but now that it appears that I can get a free room just for gambling my normal amount it makes it almost affordable.

The cheap flights thanks to the airmiles are just the icing on the cake. Turns out a couple of our suppliers at work will happily take credit card payments to settle our monthly accounts. I'm a bit late to the game but now I'm getting the hang of it I'm racking up 30k+ miles every month just for normal spending. Hope it doesn't end any time soon now that I've finally figured out the game.

I don't really, but when I stayed at the Aria for a week last summer I played a bit of slots, but only ~$14k coint in over the whole week, which is not much at all.

I get 3 nights at Aria/Bellagio/Vdara comped, but have to pay resort fees, and get $50RC$75FP

I get 4 nights at all other MGM properties, which includes suites at some, and no resort fees, so you only pay them on the nights you have to pay casino rate, hence me paying $4/500 for 7 and 9 night stays.

Golden Gate would give you whatever you want, I'd imagine. Going off what you're comped from MLife. I presume most of your play is table games?

I prefer the D to Golden Gate, and it's the same owner. You can also use comps at Le Thai further down Fremont Street, too. He also owns 'Circa', which is the new property downtown that should be finished sometime near the end of 2020.

Hopefully this 'Holiday Gift Shoppes' thing happens in December again, so I can get a free fortnight with the $1.7k freeplay I can get covering the cost of my flight and UFC tickets.

I wouldn't be doing a Marky month, if my liver was taking the daily hiding that you two are giving yours Cheesy

I only drank one night over Xmas, which resulted in me waking up on the floor of my bathroom at 8am fully clothed, with the basket and charger missing from the front of my scooter!

Incredible!

It didn't feel too incredible, that's for sure

Had to get a new basket/charger delivered to the hotel, after a lecture about not leaving the scooter unattended as people steal the baskets/chargers, and I should have left the battery in the pouch on the back of the seat.

'Not in the basket where it always is every time I get the scooter delivered?'

'No, you should put it in the pouch'

Yeah, cheers Roll Eyes

400k off normal spending is huge. I assume you have the paid for virgin card if you're putting that much through it?

We have a few suppliers who take credit cards so I just pay them using the Virgin card and transfer the cash to my own account. It's at least£20k spend per month so easy to rack up a lot of points fairly quickly.

I started putting some HMRC stuff through via a curve card but when Stu got restricted it got me thinking maybe I shouldn't push it. I can only put about £10k per month of HMRC payments through and I'm also restricted to £50k annually by curve so it's probably best to try to stay under the radar rather than risk being cut to £15k max per month.

All my normal spending goes on it as well of course but that's probably not much more than 2k miles worth. All adds up though.

Update.
Managed to get Planet Hollywood for the Week for £1800 Inclusive.

Planet Hollywood seems a decent Hotel so give it a bash.

Cheers All.

PS. Can you go to Legasse your self to watch the NFL or would you recommend another sports book like Westgate as per Tal.

Cheers.
